- rave isnt really a genre....
- and LTJ Bukem isnt really trance either
Mixing synth with fast beats would be weird and a very hard combo to make it good.

Actually, Ghetto-Tech is something you might be interested in anyway. Download some DJ Assault stuff, "Yo Relatives" is a good recent single.

Zero, by Rave I mean mainly 1991-1995 holland/germany techno. Marusha, Moby - feeling so real, RMB + countless other happy techno tunes from those years.

most of the best trance music was created around 1998-2000, if you can find a mix CD (or a compellation one) from that era it's mostly good.
moby's feeling so real (both the elastic remix and the album version) is a ledge tune btw.
i doubt you'll find anything very good that has three 'genres' (in a mix CD at any rate), but i'd recomend concord dawn who are a great drum 'n' bass act but you can see some more trancey elements in their music.

Yeah too bad, Soulseek was excellent..
Anyway Zylka, try Marco Carola. I'm not sure if you like it, but you might, so if you like then I can recommend more. if you don't like it, then we can change the direction a bit.

Can only find one of his recent ones, Toronto 2003 - but am trying to download the others (circa 2000). What else, for now?

Yeah, you might like Sven Väth.. Tell us if you like these, so we know to recommend you more this kind of music, or if you don't like it then we can recommend something else.
http://www.paxahau.com/archives.htm check out this one, theres tons of sets here from many big names.. click archives, and notice the symbol that tells you if it's house, techno or something else.. browse through some of these, if you like some of the sets, it's easier to recommend further stuff. For example try Michael Meyers set, it's fourth in the list.. but theres tons of stuff, good stuff IMO, and it varies, so it's worth checking out few of different if you don't like the first one. If you like some of these, this site is definitely worth bookmarking.

Cool. Seems to have a housey edge but this is 2000 stuff. So, on top of the last two needs - which dj puts out the more sinister stuff?

There's tons of different kind of techno in Paxahau.. check some of those sets .. perhaps you're not into the Michael Meyers set, so keep on checking, the styles varies..

I've lost my patience with my unadequated 56K modem. So I'll go to the stores after work and search for a compilation using your suggestions. And then take it from there with the downloads. I'll let you know thanks
BTW for anyone interested I really like this radiostations program about techno/dance which I've listened sometimes. It's on Saturdays from 24:00 to 03:00, Greek time, +2 Greenwich.

Well, not Jeff Mills, or Tiesto, tried them and are a bit too light for my liking. I'll look for Quicksilver and Drum'n' Bass DJs since I think they'll fit more to what I like. I've also listened to Monkey Spunk, don't know by whom, that was also pretty good.

That was actually to Zylka . Maybe he meant Carola. If you like Carola, then you should check out Chris Liebing, Adam Bayer.. these folks also make albums, so you can find those too besides livesets.. Little darker, strong, but not very fast. If you don't like, then I don't keep going with these names.. if you like, I give you more names..
paiktis, Well try LTJ Bukem for Drum'n'Bass.. Not very dark though. Creates nice atmospheric scenes this man.

Btw, in Paxahau there is also Marco Carola.. 03-06-03.. check it out. If you don't like the first track, try somewhere in the middle too.

Carola @ Limelight 2000, and it's a little dull
I'll have Carola @ Tonic, Toronto 2003 for a second chance. But this stuff just isn't sinister or campy enough

Zylka, ok I know what you mean. Liebing is more sinister IMO. And Adam Bayer. If you still want to go up a notch, let me check out some of the stuff I have... just few minutes

Zylka, ok in Paxahau, try Chris Liebing 11-28-00 and get back if you still want something else, harder, slower, more something, less something.. But this stuff starts to be pretty banging.. I tried at 27 minutes.
