Does anybody know if Exile still hangs out on this board, because i would like to post a scenario on the War of the Worlds based on his Scenario Imperialism 1870.
Thanks Thorgrimm

Damned Martians!
Fine idea for a scenario!
I hope there isn't a Sean Connery unit!

No Sean Connery unit
I am going to post it and if Exile wants me to take it down have him post and tell me to. I think it complements his scenario well.
I hope you enjoy it. I would like constructive critiques so i can improve it.
Until i can figure out how to upload the file i will remove the useless links

@CurtSibling I just tried to download it and it brought up the Save file box and i saved it to my hdd. I don't know why you could not do it. It says that it has been downloaded 4 times. So i do not know what is wrong. Also you can just go to uploads and download it there i think. If i am wrong could a moderator please let me know as this is my first thread and scenario posting.

Re: To PM
Hi thorgrimm,
All units/etc posted are, of course, free for use by anyone.
Please note however that they were originally converted for use in a ToT scenario, hence are in either 24 or 32-bit format (I forget which).
cheers

thorgrimm, several of the now 12 downloads are mine, trying to get what ever it is you're trying to post. It seems to be a text file of some kind, with 0 bytes. So it's really nothing at all. Try reposting, use the Attach file function at the bottom of the Post Reply box.

Use Apolyton's upload facility. You have a 20 Mb limit. Place a hyperlink to the file in your post, not as an attachment at the end.

I posted the correct link for you in the post above. You did everything right, except you posted the wrong link. In future go to View File, right-click the file in question, copy the shortcut and paste the link in your post.

Sorry. Lost the rest in a hard drive hiccup a while back.
I might get the chance to recreate them but not for a week or two.

thorgrimm, do you want to include the @NEGOTIATION trigger in the events to stop the Martians from making peace with each civ after they capture a city? My recollection of H.G. Wells' novel is that there was no communications between the Martians and Earthlings. It would certainly pick up the pace of the invasion.

thorgrimm, if you're after Exile's permission, I strongly sugest that you contact him by PM or email (I think that his address is in the readme for Imperialism).

Actually i had to tear my copy of his scen apart to make mine i replaced bldgs units and techs. So no i am not looking for his permission and i have fufilled my obligation for recognition. i just want to make a good WOTW scen and his scen fit the parameters i needed. If he wants me to take it down i will honor his request.
@techumseh Thank you very much!
Thanks Thorgrimm

Yes, Exile in particular has been through this fairly recently and might be inclined to be a little, erm, temperamental about it?
The thread title is a fairly good descriptor though.

Not unreasonably, Exile has in the past insisted on a veto on such alterations.
If anyone had done to one of my scenarios what was done to one of his, I'd insist on exactly the same conditions.
Incidently, why don't you post some screenshots?
