How does the AI cope with this one?
Hi, there!
Would the AI attack other units with a settler role unit? I mean, would a Cannon, switched to settler mode, still be used to attack by the AI?
I'm curious about it... Not that I'm too lazy to check it for myself, but I believ some of you have already tried this...

So had a settler an attack strenght of 25, still wouldn't the AI use it to attack?
Wouldn't you be able to force it to do so, say, by putting some objectives in, and not giving the AI any other kind of units?

So you could, hypothetically use the trade/settle button to give the ai units that only defend and explore, then? I know trade and sea units does mix, so you could use this to give the AI a navy of basically useless ships...transport killing, anyone?
