I'm definately gonna pick up this game. I just wish you could play some missions as the Germans.

The game looks OK for an FPS (I don't play them, so what do I know). But what an incredibly crappy and confusing website they have.

I've been playing both demo's; mission 1 and mission 2 for the Americans. I must say it's one of the best FPS' that I've played. (But, I'm not really a FPS player either, so what do I know). Yeah, some missions as the Germans would be cool.

I'm definitely going to pick the game up though.

Does anyone have any clue what the fourth campaign is? There's an American, British and Russian campaign, and then a campaign that's supposed to bring it all together according to a preview I have Read.

Tell me how the multiplayer is. I might actually buy this game, if the gameplay is as good as the movies make it look.

EDIT: Just tried the demo. Very impressive. However, it didn't take me any longer then a half hour to finish the mission and there are only 24 missions. I don't think there would be enough replay to warrant buying it for singleplayer alone. But if the multiplayer is half as good as single player, this is definately a good one.

another ww2 game?

Actually surprisingly I don't play any ww2 games. Though I did play commandos 1 at one time a few years ago.

So ww2 games don't turn me off. Because I never play them. Wait, that makes no sense.

Well let's just say I'm open to games that are good, no matter what setting they are in.

I don't know why, but I'm always confusing Call of Duty with Call to Power. Last time I heard about COD, I thought: "hey, the CTPers in Poly were really quick with that source code".

I picked up the game yesterday. Installed it onto my rig and couldn't play it. I got some error message saying I needed to update my video driver. GRRRRRRRR....

Now I have to wait until I can dl the driver at work because I only have dialup. Let's hope that's the only thing I need to get started.

it's not my kind of FPS (in multiplayer that is)

you need to stand still and aim in order to shoot someone. on top of that movement is kinda slow, and the skins move rather stiff... it doesn't give you a good natural feeling at all when playing

Sounds like it might actually be good. But what is the gameplay like - Is it all death match, capture the flag, or (as I hope) objectives like in Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory?

watched my brother play yesterday.

there are various objectives. rescue this Major. Take this bridge. Clear a path to somewhere. Destroy radio communications equipment. Stuff like that.

There seem to be several objectives within each mission.

The machine gun fire is more realistic in that you get blinded by the muzzle flashes and there is significant recoil. So running and shooting probably isn't the best idea unless the enemy is running as well and you are in the open. But you can't go too slow on some of the timed missions.

I suck at FPS' so I doubt I'll get this.

I was talking about multiplayer - are there objectives in it, or is it just mindless combat?

Righteo, I've been playing it for a day or so.

First impressions is that it is an awesome game. But yeah its gonna be a short game. I'm playing first pop on Hardened so its taking some time.

But, I think it's an excellant game. Lot more realistic than Battlefield. IMHO better overall than Battlefield.

As far as multiplayer goes I wouldn't have a clue haven't played it multiplayer as of yet.

Overall I must say that I'm really impressed by the game. The only complaint that I've heard so far is that it's too short.

The only complaints I have about the game at present time is:

- There's 33% chance the game will run well, 66% risk the game runs like BField (i.e. it feels like MP lags when playing without enemies, everything on low)
- It's WW2 AGAIN :doitniw!:

This is the only thing I've learned in the game for now (Running around, hitting targets at the same time, that is)... to stand still and hit a target is a little more diffecult it seems...

... I'm not a regular fps player...

I agree and I'm not really a good FPS player. Probably they intend on releasing some expansion disks to get more life out of this game.
