bosko and connor's meeting
I finally met another Apolytoner! Boshko, his girlfriend and I met in Seoul this evening, had a few beers and then some excellent Thai food. He's a totally cool guy, and has a really nice, pretty girlfriend. (way to go boshko!) I felt bad cause his girlfriend look a little bored as we were talking.
I might be leaving korea soon, but if not, we'll probably get together again sometime soon.

What was Boshko doing in Korea? Too bad I missed the Thai food. I have my girlfriend send me some seasoning packets from Thailand but adding them to instant noodles really does not do them justice. Tom Yom Goong is my favorite Thai dish. And take some pictures!

next time there will be pictures. . . .
well, if there is a next time, what with my possibly leaving korea very very soon.
i don't know the names of thai food very well (boshko could probably tell you what we ate) but we had some curry with chicken in it (over rice) some sort of mixed seafood platter in a spicy reddish sauce (don't think it was curry) and some kind of noodles with pieces of beef and vegtables in it. . .
oh, boshko lives in korea as an english teacher.

I'm way behind the times.
Hell, there's even a yahoo group for furries.
Here, connor. Pass on to Bosko.

Who cares?! It's a very good song.

Download "We are One" (though the bush one is GREAT). It's the song they sing at the beginning.

i'm sure there's a south korean unification song as well. i imagine the lyrics go something like this. . .
Well hello, we're the koreans.
We happen to live in the south.
We sure feel bad for our brothers up north.
But we have food to put in our mouth.
Wouldn't it be nice to reunite?
Wouldn't it be great to get along?
We don't want to be oppressed under a tyrannical regime.
So that's why we wrote this song.
We sure hope Kim-Jong-Il kicks the bucket.
We hope he bites the bullet really soon.
We really like our freedom here in South Korea.
We don't want to be tortured by that commie loon.

The "Evil Bush" one is a masterpiece in North Korean humor I've downloaded weeks ago, and I'll continue to keep it on my harddrive for long, because it is absolutely incredibly surreal

OOOH
Well then download them ALL. Except for "Cheering Group of Pretty Girls from Pyongyang". It's about how North Korea won some medal somewhere.
And the narrarator speaks English...But he puts the emphasis in the wrong places and he's Korean accent is too thick. You think he's speaking Korean.
The only saving grace is when they raise the North Korean flag and play it's anthem
I *really* liked the "No More Tolerable". That song at the end was so catchy, and the images of the American flag being stepped on, burned....It literally brung a tear to my eye.
And evil Bush is great too. Bunch of Anti-American songs...especially that ****ing USA one.
I keep all these on my "Essentials" partition, so I'll always have them even after I reformat.
EDIT: In the Pretty Girls one, the anthem is played at 03:41. They don't play it all though

In fact, if one of our Korean friends could translate both "Evil Bush" and the anti-american song in "No More Tolerable"....We would be most grateful
In No More Tolerable, the song starts at 03:31.

Theyre in video format. Remember:
http://www.korea-dpr.com/ndfsk/ndfskv.htm
"No More Tolerable
US Soldiers killed 2 South
Korean schoolgirls" - 03:31, Anti American song needs translation.
"Evil Bush" - The entire thing needs good translation. Maybe you can help solve the mystery of what the hell "cake" is?!
