Make me less ignorant
So I want to learn something about you. Well not YOU, but something about you.
1. Where do you come from. Country.
2. What is that country like? Some specs please. Population, few celebs if you have, and what is typical to your country and your countrymen? Nice things preferred.
3. What is your religion and what are the basics of it. How it differs from Christianity?
4. Your favourite word (and can't be curse word)
5. Marital status
6. Race. What is the quick history of your races most important things in history?
Thanks.

Agh forgot few questions:
7. What is your favourite hobby?
8. What is the most proud moment of your life? The highlight.
9. Your worst bad habit
That's it.

2. Guess.
3. I'm an atheist. It differs from Christianity in the fact that I don't believe the Judeo-Christian mythology is "real" and I don't believe there is a supreme being that created stuff and we should abase ourselves before. Simply, there is no god.
4. Oxymoron. Although "cartography" has a nice ring to it.
5. Married, three kids, one more on the way, vasectomy a week ago Thursday.
6. 5k. Anything longer and I'd probably pass out.

2. Small rainy island. Population is about 70 million or something. No shortage of living celebrities, if you can't name 10 yourself then you probably live on Mars. English people are a paradox: humble and self-effacing, and also arrogantly imperialistic; famed both for our sense of humour and joviality, but also for being stuck-up and far too serious.
5. Unmarried, but in a long-term relationship. Not gay, despite what some might have you believe.
7. Watching or playing soccer; reading; computer games.
8. I honestly have no idea, which now I think of it is incredibly pathetic.
9. I tend to ignore parts of surveys that I find dull.

How mysterious.
1. Where do you come from. Country.
Canada.
2. What is that country like? Some specs please. Population, few celebs if you have, and what is typical to your country and your countrymen? Nice things preferred.
It's a cold, barren wasteland filled with maple syrup and socialism.
Actually, it's a large country with a varied climate. The population hovers around 30million. Most of our celebrities are exported to America (Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Donald Sutherland, Pamela Anderson, Michael J. Fox, Phil Hartman, etc.).
As for celebs who are known mostly in Canada.... uh... well, our culture is so Americanized it's hard to say, so I'd have to go with folks like... Rick Mercer (TV Comedian), Don Cherry (Hockey personality), and... Sean Cullen? Well, I think he's pretty funny, anyway.
Hmmm... Who am I missing? Gordon Pinsent? Shawn Majumder? Christopher Plummer? Yeah.
Let's see, what else... Hockey is extremely popular, with football (CFL) being a distant second. Baseball is growing in popularity, and I suppose basketball has a steady following.
The 'center line' of our national political spectrum is to the left of the United Statesians. State health care is taken as standard and the welfare state is still fairly firmly entrenched, so things seem to be trending away from this.
We also have a brand of chips called "Old Dutch", which are quite tasty, though perhaps the uberconglomerate of Hostess-FritoLay has surpassed them at times.
Yeah.
3. What is your religion and what are the basics of it. How it differs from Christianity?
I'm a spiritual free agent. I don't want to get into the buzzwords, really, so I'll just say I'm not an atheist.
4. Your favourite word (and can't be curse word)
Toggle.
5. Marital status
Single.
6. Race. What is the quick history of your races most important things in history?
Homo sapiens sapiens.
approx. 35000 ya-- we finish off those damn neanderthals
approx 10000ya-- we discover domestication
approx 5ya-- we invent TIVO
We have reached the pinnacle my friends.

2. Those of who aren't sociopathic xenophobes are apathetic and cynical.
3. I put Christian on the forms. I'm developing my own philosophy based on the irrelevance of deitic existence, and the maxim of not being a jackass.

1. Russia.
2. It's a very nice country Russians are typically very intelligent but closed minded. We tend to be divided into two groups: Really nice people and really bad people. Nice people will allow a stranger to come in for lunch Bad people kidnap tourists and hold them for ransom. A lot of your pirated games come from Russia. We have an annoying tendency to steal things.
I'm out of touch with Russian modern culture. The population is in decline but were over the 100mil mark I believe.
3. Monotheisic Buddhist Universalist. Basically: I believe in buddhist teachings, I'm a universalist, and I believe in one god.
4. I don't have favourite words, in any language
5. Married.
6. White or Russo-Indian, depending on what you mean. Russians were/are a ***** to the United States. Indians were/are a ***** to Pakistan.
7. I love writing.
8. Um...I don't know.
9. I tend to pick at my lips until they bleed. This leads people to believe I'm some sort of vampire.
Now you fill the form, Pekka

2. umm...I'm guessing you already know. Afternoon tea and public schools
3. Officially Roman Catholic; and I do like all the ritual, symbolism, belief in hell/purgatory etc...but being realistic I would have to say I dont actually practice any religion.
4. Pretentious
5. Unmarried; but certainly not single
6. A rather odd mixture....some French and Irish with a bit of English thrown in. Nothing im particularly proud of.
7. Films
8. Never really felt 'proud' as such...
9. Not talking to people face to face.

It's also interesting that no one has answered to question number 8 yet .

1. USA
2. Us Americans are diverse, individualistic, very proud, charitiable, enterprizing, industrious, and all 'round good folks. Check out DeToqueville. We invented celebrity.
3. Catholic. We invented Christianity.
4. Anything with a rolling R. Like Carto (spanish). Or Puerto Rico.
5. Single.
6. Hungarian, and proud. The Magyars terrorized the western world in the dark ages, then settled down and built a powerful kingdom that was one of the biggest in Europe for a few centuries. Then we got beat down by the Turks and haven't been the same since. Golden age in later part of Austro-Hungarian empire. Hungarians revolted against the Austrians and the Commies, and many others i'm sure.
7. Civ2-MP I suppose. Diplogames. And TBS games. I guess this is true for everyone here.
8. Hmm, I suppose a debate I was in last summer. A debate about lowering the drinking age at a large conference, my opponent had been an anti-alcohol advocate for longer than I've been alive and I wiped the floor with her. She was cocky and arrogant coming into the debate, but was totally defeated and humbled. She backed out of our second scheduled debate, refusing to face me again. Quite a wonderful feeling of victory, and feeling the love and admiration of the crowd who nearly hoisted me on their sholders.
9. Procrastination

Atheism. Differs from Christianity by not believing in God, and by being (personally) more tolerant. However I have my own moral set and spiritual/philosophical thoughts, and so other than a belief in there being no divine order, nor indeed any order, I don't really conform to any religion.

Two different ones:
Most proud: The first athletics race I won. The response was awesome
Highlight: Falling in love
I don't think pride is the right feeling to have for something I have no control over, nor would wish to.

Way to many to mention. From immodesty to insecurity, from thinking I've always done something wrong to never knowing what it is and from my inability to be able to do something I want to be able to do to my ability to make others feel inadiquate.
To be honest, I have no idea. Ask Verres, and she will be able to tell you

I first thought I wouldn't give my own answers.. but who am I kidding, I can't resist!
1. Fun.. err Finland
2. Population little over 5 million. There are some celebs, but no international movie stars or actors. I guess they all come from sports. We are stubborn folks. We are quiet and tough to be our friends because we will not talk to you. We just want you to ignore us in the streets and everywhere. In heart we are good, about justice and well being for everyone, even though it's sometimes difficult to see. We can't do small talk. Talk is cheap. Do what you say you'd do. These days we're also pretty smart folks technology wise. We are not enemies with anyone, but if necessary we are tough mofos.
99% of the country is real nature and it's beautiful. Our lands are wide and gorgeous. Clean water, clean air. 4 seasons. Beautiful winter. Beautiful summer. Beautiful spring. Horrible fall. Excellent country, excellent potential, but doomed because of the socialist buttholes.
3. Christian. Lutheran. Our God is REAL!
4. In english? Bubba. Fun to say. Bubba bubba.
5. Single. Working on it.
6. Caucaisian.
7. Snowboarding, wrestling (free rules), eating and having sex.
8. When I scored my first goal in hockey. It was soooo great, I still remember it. Carrying passed out drunken girl to bed and NOT touching her boobies though I had a chance. My first backside 360 with my snowboard. When I was promoted to Sergeant in front of whole lots of troopers and they all applauded. I know, pretty lame stuff, but I felt good and never forget these.
9. smoking. Trying to stop it.
