My tactic... anyone else like this?
I'm not sure about you guys... but once I get Tanks... especially if I'm the first one to get it.... the game is straight over.... a 12 pack of tanks and a little reinforcements to occupy a city after you go off to the next is all it seems to take.... flanking = teh win...
Anyone else do this... or something like it ?

Yep, Tanks are the be all and end all if it goes that far, most games end with Fascism/Monarchy with a hundred Cavalry galloping around the countryside, again another Flanker unit, mainly frontline with some ranged power and a fast mover, a stack full = a stack fighting for each other to the bitter end.

hehe.. geez, I havnt mulitplayered anyone since ... woah... like Warcraft 1.. I'd hate to imagine what it would be like with this game...
You know whenever you play sometimes... and you have more cities than you have apendages... a lot of people I know start letting their cities bog down whenever they are knee deep in other matters... sometimes my turns take a long time to make sure everything is right... to put new queues in because of new research.. all that stuff...
How do the turns work when you're playing Multi ? I dont want the whole world waiting on me ...

The turns play exactly like single player. Thats why i would say before you try it, get your strategy clear in your head and practice it against AI, make good paths for your units (press "m" and click) while your waiting for other players (saves time) and every now and then, when you have a break, reassess your place in the game and where you can improve, even if your winning!
Also change unit move speed to full, turn off wonder movies/unit animations and get used to using the "F" keys. Still sound like fun? Seriously though, we're all patient, or we wouldnt be playing this game.

Here is the MP Registry, you can post your details in here.
Better is to post a new thread in this forum and state a time/date you can play, preferably weekends for most, and you should get a game.
Players arent so many as there used to be, but i saw 9 players in the nlink lobby on sunday, so there is life out there.
