Standard setting Scenarios?
Help me name the great scenarios that pushed through convention and set new scenario standards and introduced new ideas.
Dagor Bragollach - This scenario included the first recorded use of "Impassable Terrain"
The Lord of the Rings - Introduced a 'Primitive' but workable quest based system.
Gangwars - Introduced the idea of purely Urban scenarios (This idea was put to Prodigial use in "Roman Riots")
Shannara - Multi-parted scenarios, great quest system.
Red Front - Need I say any more?
Fictional Americas - this is the only scenario I know of that uses C++ for events.
Please add to or make corrections to this list.

No, Spartacus was the first multi-parted scn. Mike Jeszenka told me that he tried to make Shanarra in the style of it.
Furthermore, I don't think that these scenarios should be described as "standarts". Not everybody makes a scenario in the style of Red Front, not everybody uses impassable terrain in each one of his scenarios. Call them "Innovative" or "Revolutionary", but not "Standart".
I am also not 100% sure that "Spartacus" was the first multi-event scenario. I think we should all search every archive on that.
And I think that "The Rise of Rome" and "WW2" BY Microprose should be added to the list. Why? Simply because they were the first scenarios
And "WW2 Euro" by Harlan T. should also be added because it, as far as I know, opened a new era for WW2 scenarios. Before that, they were all similar to Microprose's WW2, or had only very few new ideas (or none at all).

Nero's "United States Civil War 2001" was the first recorded use of sick political humour in a scenario (first scenario with an MA rating )
My Aussie Civil War scenario was the first use of pornography in a scenario (look at the nice pair of breasts in the "Legalized Brothels" wonder icon)

My New England Civil War beats out ACW.
Prommy, why not convert the scenario to English?

It's nice to see your around again, Dar...*ahem*, Knight
You should add the "Apolyton" scenario: first scenario made by, for, and about civ2 fanatics.
Oh, and whatever happened to the Religious Wars scenario that was released and then lost? I would kill for a copy of that one... *eg*

Prom: Force access to his home, take along enough floppy discs and copy the scenario. Make sure to erase all hints on what happened.
An innovative scenario?
I would say:
"Slash and Burn"
"Eldorado"
and "The World of Jules Verne"
Great ideas in all of them.
