Last thing I played other than Civ3 was Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic.

Well, I got Max Payne 2 and finished it recently, and bought Galciv, but that just gave me headaches.
I play multiplayer Mariokart and EyeToy occasionally. Great fun. EyeToy can be exhausting, though.

The only games I have played the last 6 months:
CIV3 PTW
Rise of Nations
Counter-Strike
But I must admit I spend more time at 'poly OT than on games

Right now: PTW, SC4, XIII demo, Raven Shield, occasionally RON or Morrowind.
Is it just me or is D2 making a comeback?

It depends. I usually play a lot of civ3, but usually I get in the mood for a game and play nothing but that game for a really long time, and then my mood will switch to another game. I play a lot of sports games, and I usually play them when they are in season. I've been playing a lot of High Heat 2003 recently, even though baseball's over. Even though the graphics are terrible, it is the only baseball game with realistic gameplay and the franchises are awesome. I usually simulate all of the time, I usually play about one game a year. This way I get through a lot of years fast, which is good because I like drafting players and managing a team. Before that I played a lot of Madden 2003 and Age of Mythology.
Much about a person can be determined by simply the type of video games they like to play. I'm dead serious, too. People that play civilization type strategy games are usually intelligent and into politics (look at Apolyton), people that play war games are usually conservative and know a lot about the military, people that play sports games are into sports, people that play RTS are a lot of the time people that just like to watch fighting, and many of the time it's just trigger happy teenagers.

I guess I should check the civ3 forums every now and then
I'll wait for reviews before I buy.

I suck at FPS games
I do have a copy of Max Payne. I played a little bit, before I realized I suck, and would have to reload too many times to have any fun.
