Very impressive! But are you sure that the unit 14 is a P51D? I think it does not look like a Mustang. However, only a question...

Yeah, it kinda looks like an early P-47 "Razorback", you know, before they came out with the bubble canopy.

Not a P47... It's much too slim. Either an early P51 (They looked just like Me109s before the bubble canopy)But more likely IMHO a P40?

You are really careful!
I have in the scenario two versions of P-51: early (P-51 to P-51C) and later (P-51D to M).
In the preview I had the earlier model (NA-73 or Mustang I) but named it P-51D by typo.

Hey those units look familiar...
did you take them from my last scenario or did you scan them from the book "Tanks and other armored fighting vehicles of World War II"
14 is (or resembles) a P-40
And why the KV-2? It was an awful tank that was converted to KV-1 by the end of the first winter in Russia.

To Darthveda:
Most of the units I have modified or re-drawn from photoes or drawings from different web-pages. Also I photographed and scanned some of my Academy models.
There are 13 different units.gif files in the game. Most of German, Italian, Russian, English, USA, French and some other nation tanks and planes are represented.
KV-2 appear early in the game and isn't strong unit.
The plane picture under discussion is intended to be early version of P-51. I used Mustang I photo (I added it to my last post) to make the unit.
The photo of P-40:

Well, balance and historical accuracy are always important, especially when there's tons of information available about your subject.

those look really good...but those first three tanks need a little bit of work. A minute or two on each of them would get rid of those big squarish blotches of color and give it more of a tank-like appearance. I had problems with that trying to run down the T-34 - T-90 line of MBTs...
And that's all the criticism I can give at the moment. lol...those are damn good.

PREVIEW 6: THE MAP
I used the same map as John Petroski in his Anstieg scenario but made some changes: The Dniepr and Volga rivers, some islands etc.
Dimensions of the map are 68x145.
Version 2 of the scenario I plan release in Gigamap 131x250.

The quality of those rolling and flying thingies is pretty good considering that they are from photographs.

CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROJECT
I planned to release the scenario shortly after I have got answers from playtesters of the last version. But reading these answers convinced me that the game needs two versions: hard version for strong players who like to think carefully about each their move and easy version for common players.
Hard version I already have. In order to do easy one I need to make some changes in events files and add neccessary sections to .bat file. As the scenario has as many as 90 events files it takes some weeks.
Bad thing is that I need to be in Netherlands in second half of November and return to Estonia beginning of December. It pushes the release of the scenario to late December or January. But I hope that having easy version (it doesn't mean that it is easy to play - just easier!) as option is worth postponing.

You could release the hard version first, and see how much call there is for the easier version... It may save you from having to make the second version.
I just want to get me hands on this as soon as possible!

I agree with the Field Marshal, perhaps there is no need to make an easier version. I think players who have problems to win your scn can always expect strategy help from the scn experts here (not from me ).

There are other ways to make a scenario "easy" (playing on the "Chieftan" difficult setting being the most obvious), so I have to agree that you should just release the hard version right now and wait for more feedback, we have a lot of scenario experts here. ::glances in Xin Yu's general direction::
This scenario sounds great, I can hardly wait to try it.

The game is playtested for every 10 nations and here are the summary of the results:
Axis - playable. It is possible (but very hard) to conquer early via blitzkriegs Allies or Soviet Union (but not both). Later war in one front is winnable.
Allies - too hard. Rommel's advance in North Africa and to Middle East is proved to be unstoppable. Battles for Britain and on Atlantic are always lost and German bombers have weakened English forces enough to allow successful Sealion.
Soviet Union - too hard. Nobody has succeeded to stabilize the front after the beginning of Barbarossa. Some players have tried unorthodox strategies:
1. Conquer Scandinavia, go to war with Allies and invade Britain. Axis still win via Sealion.
2. Conquer Turkey and invade to Middle-East. No help against Rommel.
France - too hard. Loss of mainland and Syria is unavoidable but in North-West Africa is possible to put up good fight because Rommel's main aim is Suez. Problem is that usually Spanish will join with Axis and are too strong for you to stop.
Vichy France - playable. Allies or Axis invade you later in war but you have time to prepare for it. Still very hard.
Spain, Turkey, Sweden, Neutrals - playable. You can usually chose to which side and when join the war.
Yugoslavia - too hard. Axis conquer you in 1941 whatever you do. Guy who played Yugoslavia invaded to French Syria but was catched by Rommel in later war.
Finland - playable. You can end the war with Russia via negotiations in 1944.
So, there is certainly demand for easier version. Also I already started working with it + I don't want to upload game files (as zipped over 10 MB) twice.

I think that a release of the Hardest Version would be good then you can release the easier version. I'm speaking for myself here, i get a kick out of hard WW2 scenarios so i'd love the hard one although my chances of winning on it would be 1/million
