Sn00pyC3CGraphicsUpdate For Download
Here is the Download Link: Sn00pyC3CGraphicsUpdate.zip
In the zip I included two volcano sets, one with lava and one without, so you can choose which one you'd like
to use.
And here is a screenshot:

Nah, I will leave it here. MarkG can move it later, but the reason I posted here is because most C3C players are lurking this thread for the first few weeks, many of them won't go elsewhere until after a week or two.
But knowing moderators *sigh* that won't happen, and the illogical will.

Those marshes look amazing, Sn00py! Such a huge difference you're able to make on the graphics. The Civ3 graphics are basically like 'game' graphics, but you're able to turn 'game' graphics into 'realistic' graphics. Great job.

Hmm, Rah and Gramphs, you're right to move it, but not everyone goes to the files forum everyday, can't we really make an exception for Snoopy's brilliant work?
-
Snoopy, it really!!!! looks awesome!!!
-
BTW, has this been turned into a news item??? !!!!!!

Yes. that's why I wanted it to be moved. you should know my policy. No news on files not in the files forum (or possible files in the creation forum explicipt set to be beta versions)

I would have failed to see it in files or creation and the news. So lucky for me I got to see it before it was moved.

beautiful!
in one of your other graphic mods, you had a fast increasing depth between coast and sea... i loved that effect!
can i just overwrite that part? will it look just as good? or will you be updating all your graphic mods?

sabrewolf, the mod I made with the coastal shelf has a very strong blue, and I was kind of bothered by it, so I made the water greener (like screenshot above). But in order to do that I had to lose the coastal shelf, because when I changed the colour, the shelf would be 'washed' out.
However, you can still use the coastal shelf mod, and use the above volanoe and marsh pcx files with that mod.

Great job Sn00py!!
Uh, can someone tell me where I put the pcx files again?
And where can I find the coastal shelf mod?

snoopy
thanks for your reply! i'll do it as you said!
another question: in an old thread (i can't find it either here nor at CFC anymore ) you had a preview for some kind of new river graphics. it looked great. i think the thread title was something like "april 6th mod" and the river-modification preview was just a single post in that thread.
is that still coming? or have you given up on it?

I don't know of the mod you're talking about, if you can find it to jog my memory, that'll be helpful. (I really can't be bothered lol)
I'm really not doing anymore work for Civ3, I am exhausted with work. Sorry.

Theseus:
"CIV3PTW\Art\Terrain"
In C3C you will probably have to go in the C3C folder, but the 'ART' and 'terrain' should remain the same.

I installed the april 6th mod from the downloads archive (minus the allstates.pcx file -- the C3C allstates is larger), then I installed the C3C update. However, my marshes still do not look like the marshes in the screenshot. What did I miss?

pity, but i understand.
at least you know that several thousand people use your tileset! and if it were easier to set it to default, there would be a lot more!
ps. thanks to doronron for finding it! i didn't see it because someone else started the thread

heh, I remember that mod, I get so many people coming back to me requesting for it to be done, I know the mod is a goodie, I dunno why I never get round to finishing it, it wouldn't be terribly hard to complete.
Maybe one day I will
