I'm home now also. But as I mentioned in an earlier post, I have to take my daughter to swimming class at about 8 est, and it will take 40 or 50 minutes. If you guys don't mind a "dinner" break, count me in. Otherwise, I would understand if you wanted to blow me off

Hey Guys,
How's it going?? I remember the hassle of setting up the game, reading this is like old times LOL. The game however, was always worth it. Good luck guys.

My thought is that we start an alternate game with 4 or 5 that we can play when we all can't get together. We knew the challange of continuing a 6 person game when we started this. If we have an alternate game on the side, (with free player substitution) maybe the 6 person game won't be forgotten like many in the past.
I'll check in when i get home. I have to pick up my car from the shop so I may be a few minutes late.

Last night was the worst game I've ever played. I only got 4 cities while others had a dozen. Well, xxxx happens. I did not realize that 40x40 map was different.
Next time if the map is that small, I'll put down a city with only one special. Thanks Rah for teaching me that .

actually the 5 billion years softened the map a little.
It does keep the game moving quicker though, especially in the midgame. We got quite far in the first session considering how late we started.
Yes I was surprised about how few cities you had, since there seemed to be quite a few good locations around.
I know you learn and adapt quickly.

I think Xin got barb raped also.
Xin
Look at the bright side. At least the elephant taming collossus to the east is friendly. (Actually no more elephants are being trained. the new Crusader troops are proving to be far more reliable.)
I hate tiny maps. At least this time the 2 leading civs are balanced out, unlike the last 2 games.

Sounds like the plan is to continue last week's game and hopefully resume the epic next week. If so, I assume tonight's game is full. If that is not the case, please post soon and let me know. I have a chore to do before Friday and if I do it tonight I won't be home until around 8:30 est. If the game is open, however, I'll do it tomorrow and be home tonight by 7:30.

I remember that Ming will be absent this week, right?

I'm in. But since my wife is out of town, I have that same problem of having to take my daughter to swimming between 8 edst and 8:45 edst. I'll be home early if people want to start then take a dinner break... This is the last week for a while that I have to do this.

I'm in. I'll get home by 7:00 est if you want to start and then take a break (which is ok with me). Let's try to reach a consensus on that, though, because otherwise I won't rush home.

I may be just a few minutes later than 8:45 EDST. It depends on when her class actually ends. Last time, I was able to get on line by 8:50. So don't start without me

I who do physics have this day understood much. Yea, great has been the understanding of this day. But having understood much, I find that for this day I can understand no more. Thus the journey home begins.

Great continuation last night. I look forward to next Wednesday. Too bad I had to settle for the great wall... but the way things are turning out, I'm glad to have it.
War4ever...
We had a sub for you last night. So don't worry. An AI didn't totally destroy your civ. I hope you all can make it next week.
It was fun.

So what's the status for tomorrow? I understand that Ming won't be availible for tomorrow night, but perhaps he will allow war4ever to sub for him in the other game we had? I'd like to know soon, because it seems that a formerly, and quite possibly future #1 ranked civleague player
want's my blood, and I would like to give him the opportunity tomorrow night. However a continuing game will definitely take precedence.
