I loathe Sundays for just those reasons.

I got so bored and fed up I had a bit of an anxiety attack, so I went out for a while and felt fine. Damn I hate Sundays, and when all of your friends seem to be 'getting on with their lives' it can get very hard to find things to do...

Most of my friends have boring Sundays as well. They just don't want to admit to it.

Brevity is the soul of wit.

St. Swithin:
Have you actually read that 'brevitiy is the soul of wit' speech by Polonius in Hamlet? Marvellous irony for this thread.
Thank you Whaleboy for cutting out the blubber.

I seriously doubt st. swithin would read anything as uplifting as Hamlet ... she's to busy rereading Fight Club
As for boring Sundays, I am always glad for football season since the games start around 10am and end around 4pm, if I got ESPN I could watch it all day! ... When football ends basketball is in full season, and when basketball ends baseball is on the up swing... I have never been bored on a Sunday. Saturdays? Now thats a different story.

If I wanted uplifting, I'd buy a push-up bra. I'm only happy when I'm being miserable.
Although Hamlet sure as he11 is cheerful. I feel a bit like that noble son myself.

I don't suppose that anyone considered the possibility of going to church on Sunday, did they? You could even dust off that old copy of The Book of Common Prayer lying around and start your own personal service. For grins you could consecrate yourself Bishop of your own personal diocese. Who knows, during the week you might be able to scarf up an old cassock, miter, etc., etc. and various other accoutrements of the office. You could make your service a weekly thing, invite friends, and fire off a terse warning to the other local Bishop about encroaching on your territory. Soon someone from the precinct will come around and make some suggestions on another way of occupying your spare time, all expenses paid by the Queen herself! There, won't that be exciting?
