What's Your Favorite Religion
Regardless of which one you actually believe, which do you like the most or find the most intriguing?

Communism is a religion? Atheism is a religion?

If communism is included, one must also include capitalism.
And atheism is a lack of religion.

if it is in place of a 'standard' religion than it is a religion
and I agree that capitalism is for some people

There is an 'otherism" option.

That makes no sense at all.

It seems that you're going to have to simplify, JM.

I prefer Armenian orthodox to the Greek variety and am dismayed that it is not included

I apologize. I was not aware of Armenian Orthodox. In truth, I just chose 12 as my number of poll options and filled in the first ones that came to mind leaving the last two for bananaism for tradition and otherism for, well, other.

This is like Christians insisting that there is a religion called Satanism, when in reality it's just another part of Christianity. Communists created a straw man and called it Capitalism, and used it much as the Christians use Satan, in order to scare people into their flock. Deal with it, your government is based on sh!t.

Oh, and I chose Bhuddism as my favorite. It's interesting, and a lot of cool people practice it around here.

Buddhism is cool - if I were even faintly religious I would be a Buddhist.
The rest are just a bunch of made up crap designed to reel in and control the gullible...

You will find nuts in every religion. I certainly find many parts of Buddhisma attractive but the idolotry is a little much. I don't think that Buddha ever taught much of what is now practiced in his name. The same could be said about the teachings of Jesus and the idolotry practiced in his name. For some the idolotry is the almighty dollar.

can oyu be christian and atheist?
no
think about it like this
there is a space of all people
if you don't include atheism as a religion
you don't span the space of all people
and in this argument I am ignoring all the religious aspects of atheism

Orthodoxy, not orthodoxism. And yes, it's all the same religion, armenian, greek, russian, or whatever.
