IMHO...this is a revitalization for Civ 3.
For that alone it is worth it. And there are all the additions.

I'm proud to have cast the 12th YES bringing the score 12 YES to 0 NO.
No doubt, this is the real thing.

Dude if this game eats up any more of my time I'm hosed. It's definitely worth it, like 10 times better than PTW.

Yep. Particularly when you consider the Sengoku Japan Conquest is a new 540 turn, full unit, full tech tree, free standing civ game by itself.

Yes. Civ3.2 is the best yet. If you complain about corruption a lot you may want to wait for the 1st patch, or order from Amazon.com and your shipment will arrive sometime after the next patch is released.

I think the Middle Ages scenario has a lot to say for itself too (particularly with the "forbidden" techs belonging to each culture), but the most time probably went into Sengoku, yes.
Honestly, I like all the expansions, except maybe Napolean and WWII, but that's because I'm an aggressive builder at heart and those two are pretty heavily warmonger scenarios allowing for very little building.

If you play Middle Ages as Vikings, your best strategy is to warmonger...

yes, but I still would have preferred the days when expansions only costed $20 instead of $30.

well, I prefered my beer to be 10 cents too, but eh.
Maybe you change your nick to grandpaw Simpson , what che think?
PC games are cheap (depending on how much you play them of course), but in thruth, the Civ serie is more then likely to be cheapest thing in the house and certainly the cheapest pass-time/hobby of them all.

I have to add a "Yes, but...". As it was intended to be, C3C is a first class game. Unfortunately, the corruption and gpt bugs spoil the fun significantly, and both are real biggies. They will be without any doubt ironed out, and then I will remove the "but" from my recommendation. I will buy it sooner or later myself. As for the price, it's laughable. Heck, I spent €30 on an evening in the pub yesterday, and bought three or four hours of fun and an awful hangover. Conquests costs the same amount and provides months and years of fun.

Looking more positive to buy for me Good
But, my main question, how is the multiplayer? That would be my only reason for getting it. Is it still laggy like PTW? Better/Same/Worse?
Thanx

The MP is very much improved; OOS are so rare now that people are actually quite surprised when they see them!

It is definately worth it. You'll get hours and hours of enjoyment out of this expansion. The Conquests add a whole new dimension to the game and are a lot of fun.

I'll second that.
By the way, is Conquests already on sale in Belgium?

Surprisingly Yes. I just hope Atari/Firaxis/BA doesn't stick to their original target of releasing a game that doesn't need a patch since this game definately needs at least one to fix a few major bugs.
This is coming from one of C3C's biggest critic before release because I felt really angry my PTW purchase was essentially made worthless. But it's not really worthless. I still can have it installed on my slower computers and C3C's new content is worth the $45 cdn I paid for this game.

Definitely yes. It's got some warts, but nothing that isn't fixable in a patch or two. In spite of the warts, the unpatched version has cost me at least 3 all nighters. I'm seriously sleep deprived because of the damn game. nuff said
