Great news, SlowwHand . . . .
I have gotten sick of Apolyton, so I decided that I'm going to leave the forum permanently.
or not
No, let's get to the REAL good news -- KFC has claimed in their commercials that eating fried chicken can be healthy for you.
So there ya go SlowwHand -- eat up on all the southern fried chicken you want, and be proud of your southern cuisine.

Can I eat all the chicken I want, even though I'm not Southern? I would like to, as chicken is good and good for you.

I would like to know how even the KFC marketing advertisers think they can get away with their latest advertising approach.

I haven't seen it yet. If it involves anything less than naked supermodels gorging on KFC and becoming more beautiful by the minute, then it's true advertising. ("Advertising" true and "life" true are very different things, btw )

I have seen two different commercials so far, that revolve around the claim that if you want to find a healthy addition to your diet, eat KFC -- something along that line.
Which is of course, bullsh*t.

In that case, Sloww will need at least a bucket a day.

UGH -- apparently, I'm the only one who does not live under a rock, and has actually SEEN these recent commercials.
Get away from your PC and to your TV so you can find out WTF I'm talking about.

It says "if you're going for low carbs and high protein." Well, duh. The other one that's funny is the one with "healthy" (ala add some apple sauce) kids meals (in a box!). The can of soda is particularly amusing. It's like "Is anyone else seeing this?" I know what you mean.

Iirc, KFC offers skinless chicken which would remove a lot of the batter/carbs. Perhaps that is what they are advertising?

And you just keep your lip zipped, John.
I could have perpetuated MrFun's myth of people in the Southern states, and said only Blacks eat fried chicken, and watermelon; but that would be stupid.
I love fried chicken and watermelon.
