IIRC it was actually the first game I bought* for my C64 in the mid 1980s. This arcade game was made for more or less all of the platforms avaliable at the time, even if they came a couple of years later than the Commodore version. There has also been a couple of sequels that I hadn't heard of before I made some research about it. The first of them X 2 a few years later and a second one at the end of the millenium for a consule that was a total failure as far as I can tell.

* In other words, it was not the first game I owned for the C64, but that's another story...

Jeff Minter!, that's all I gonna say

Another so called clue:
The view is 3rd person from aboveish, the person that you control moves from bottom left to top right. More or less at least.

I'm thinking of Space Harrier but that doesn't really match with the 3rd person view.

Both wrong!

Clue: The areas that you move trough is basically the same each time but there's more dangers and also more or less for you to do depending how you managed the last time around.

Clue: It's quite possible that some of you has been involved in this logistic task.

Hmmmm... that could be right. Never knew there was a remake though.

That's almost definitely it from the clues given.

There was a sequel, but I don't know anything about a more recent console version.

Yeah, Paper boy is the correct answer.

As I said, I didn't know about a sequel or a late consol version either, but I found the information on the internet so it must be so.

You gotta admit that the 'logistics-clue' was kind of sneaky!

Mid eighites, multi-platform.

Clue #1: The music used is actually a well-known television theme tune from the 1950s.

Well the only game i could think off with TV theme music was spyhunter although i always thought of it as an arcade game.

Right a new game...

Amiga, circa 1991. The 'game over' scene has you being beheaded by Guillotine.

I think that by multi-platform, he meant more than one different type of computer, not a platform game with multiple levels.

Oh and I've played this game with the beheaded ending...but I can't remember what it is.
