'Four Weddings and a Funeral.' Call it five funerals, and it would be a better film. Andie McDowell does the imitation of a plank surprisingly well- I thought she was a beauty/fashion model, but clearly she had 'branched' out into carpentry or woodworking, too.

Watched that this summer with my girlfriend. I have the stunning ability to pick horrible movies when taking someone out.
Andie McDowell is not a bad actress, she had the worst lines ever in a movie. Just plain bad.
As for the Jennifer Lopez movies, what about the Cell? Bad movie for a date, not too bad otherwise.
Another movie I saw, The Sweetest Thing. I wanted to see Minority Report, she detested Tom Cruise, so we settled on the sweetest thing. By halfway through, I laughed at the movie, because it was so stupid, but she was disgusted.

His accuracy in terms of events and characters ranges from good to really lame (depicting Ismay as an idiot who didn't know who Sigmund Freud was really irked me). He certainly created, IMO, some breathtakingly vivid moments during the sinking (in particular, the moments when Jack and Rose aren't around).

Does the scene show Ismay not to know Freud?? It certainly shows that Ismay doesn't care for Freud, but to say that he doesn't know him, I think is going too far.
Whether or not Ismay was an idiot, we'll never know. The fact remains that he did put pressure on Cpt. Smith, which ís at least some measure of idiocy given the fact that there were iceberg sightings

Well, this is easily Googleable:

ROSE Do you know of Dr. Freud? His ideas about the male preoccupation with size might be of particular interest to you, Mr. Ismay.
ANDREWS chockes on his breadstick, suppressing laughter.
RUTH My God, Rose, what's gotten into--
ROSE Excuse me.

I think it is implied that Ismay didn't get it, but he did get that she was making fun of him.

Sorry -- you haven't changed my mind. One of the best movies -- ever, in my opinion.
So what if you're too cold-hearted to confront emotional issues such as forbidden love -- doesn't make it a bad movie.

All girls absolutely loved this movie, why should you be any different..
Titanic = uke: , I've tried to watch about 5 or 6 times now, just can't handle it, a pity 'cause it starts of very well.

I think his choking implied that he couldn't believe the mouth on her, talking about penis size. In those times saying such things in public was not considered decent, nor lady like... Though I can see your point.
Titanic wasn't all that bad. It just dragged. Had they put more nudity in it I would of been fine with the movie. Maybe turn the whole first half into a porn or something

The scene in Titanic where the lifeboats come back to look for survivors and finds only floating bodies is one of the most horrific scenes in a movie in my opinion. After I saw the movie, I could not get it out of my head. Especially the mother holding the little baby.

There are more then likely about a dozen U-boot movies doing that scene better. ( IIRC there's a few in Das-boot).
But yeah, a scene like that can be very intense.
