I must have hired three dozen people in the last dozen years. I hired minority men and women primarily. I hired only two white males.
From a quality of performance point-of-view, all seemed to do well or not well individually. I never saw a pattern that was based on sex or ethnic background.
This said, I would also so say that I was an exception not the rule. Most other managers/executives seemed to hire primarily white males.
I think AA might still be necessary if only based on my own experience.
