What strange and wonderful things have you seen the AI do?

Well, in his rookie season, I saw AI score 56 points in a game for the 76ers... that was kinda strange and wonderful...

I had a game on emperor in I think PTW 1.?? (second to last patch) where the germans didn't road their saltpeter. They were at peace with all civs throughout the game, so no bombardment there. I was way way behind in tech and they happened to have the great library. I didn't have saltpeter either, so this was my one shot at winning the game. I loaded up a bunch of galleys and took the saltpeter and the library, gained up through physics I believe and that was that for that game
that's strange, but not wonderful.
hmm. wonderful.. In my current game, I saw the persians steam 6 galleons and 12 frigates around my territory and down to their arch enemy sumeria for a backdoor landing, at least thats what it looked like to me. Which is odd because there was a fairly long border shared between the two...but those ships might have been destined for another off continent target when war was declared (or when I bribed Sumeria into that war )

Yes, I've noticed the AI does a lot more strategic naval landings, it seems, in C3C. Last night, I watched as the English-Babs-Hittites, despite sharing borders with each other, were sending ships on wide circling routes to land further into enemy territory.

I've just updated with the new version of conquests, and the AI still does strange things.
I've noticed the AI building an extremely long road, down a thin archipelago to no-where? So I moved some settlers across and built cities along the road. Thank you very much AI....

The AI in C3C tends to send workers ahead to prepare lands for settlement, I've noticed. You probably just beat them to their own city sites

AoD scenario. The French and Dutch were at war. I repeatedly saw the French sail a carrack escorted by 3 frigates from Brest to land ONE pikeman on the French side of the border. They must have done this 4 or 5 times. OK, it saved part of a move for the pikeman but the AI tied up four ships to do this.
