Why don't Civ 2 Demo game moderators recieve custom titles?
They ARE moderators, after all. I think that's only fair.

They don't usually have much to do and even when there was lots to do in Exodus, we still needed Ming to intervene.

"peace duke". what a sissy.
I know they're minimods. But even News Editors get special titles, and they're not staff, too.

You mean, unlike you, people?
I remember FrustratedPoet saying that they're not allowed access to the staff forum, for example.

hubris: to be overly self-assured and confident, arrogant.
I trust you refer to Azazel, and not to Ming or Rah.
Otherwise this could be interesting.

Being a demo game administrator is hardly being a moderator. It's more like being a useful idiot to top and detop and do the wash so that Mark, Dan, and other people with better things to do can do them.

Because we are still real people. You can't trust REAL people with more than mini-mod control, and you can't go giving them custom titles either - then it goes to their heads. We're only human.
Now those you see with custom titles - they obviously are no longer human...

It's nice being a Peace Duke .
AH, you don't need another title. The fact that you're AH already explains everything .

Being a Peace Duke means that I have peace myself even when everyone is engaged into a flame war .

An understatement? Then you must be just part of the scenery. Nice to look at, but of little use otherwise.
