Turn to netwarrior - by the way, I found your original email, hotmail (that is my other account) decided your message was spam The only reason I put up with it is because it's free.

Sorry to all, my wife caught my little girl's hand in the dishwasher and I spent all weekend, after doing the emergency room bit - mashed and bloody, nothing broken - with a very fussy uncomfortable little tyke. Mommy is now back, she had a grant writing workshop to go to, so Monday I should get my games played. Again, apologies.

Turn to Morgan - thanks for the support, my little girl got an infection from the emergency room visit and was REALLY sick - didn't want to swallow, diarrhea, fever - she fine after hourly forcing fluids, and since I work for the government I get family leave to recover - no harm, just typical first time really sick scared daddy.

turn to Morgan - has the "researchers discovered Secrets of the Human Brain" message been received yet by any of you? I realize the Miriam could already have it, she lead in tech
Genot (general notice) 2117/4 - To all survey parties.
Response by from all field officers within 24 hours of receipt.
It has come to our attention that some tectonic charges survived the breakup of the Unity. One team attempting to open a Unity Pod as per manual 8109.10 field procedures, section 7a : Precautions due to possible mindworm infestations, survived the resulting detonation. Consider tectonic charges as unstable and always open the Unity Pod from a distance of at least 10 kilometers.

What are we anemic? We let a backwards people who only started researching 8-turns ago get a tech lead on us? We're done for.

It's interesting - while Agent Subversion handed me what's a largely unrecoverable position in one game, he handed me an almost perfect start in this game. There are one or two things he did that will put me at a very slight disadvantage later on but that give me a slight advantage early. I WAS able to intervene before his trying out the Robin Hood strategy strangled his growth, as it did in the other game (there the University player has double the next closest player's population and has grabbed the first three secret projects).
Subversion's research goals were exactly right for a builder on a huge map. Also, the man has my wife's luck- I am VERY happy with the pods he popped. I'm just building on his luck, and on a couple of strategies learned from playing the Gaians for several years solo, plus Sikander's work that I discovered a year ago. By the way, anybody notice that the Gaian player is doing an excellent job on the energy front (from the faction status panels), and leads us all in that category? Think about it. I really hope he's adjacent to someone deserving, like Miriam.
to the tune of the sesame street song - The Postman is a Person in Your Neighborhood
Oh the mind worm is a creature in your habitat, in your habitat, in your hab-i-tat, oh the mindworm is a creature in your habitiat, it's a pink thing that attacks if free market's where you at, it's is thingy that will eat - your - brain - each - time.
My wife says I don't need drugs, just sleep deprivation.

I can't recall seeing the "Secrets" message.
Uh pod popping; one resulted in an earthquake which knocked out a major river.

Neither have I. I think we'll have to wait till someone discovers a secret.
