wondering what makes a game qualify for a forum section
How come there isn't an Age of Wonders forum section?
I don't play the game as much anymore, but it is a TBS game that is very good i think, and a place to come and talk about it would be nice.
How did RON get in? Simply because it's a Brian Reynolds game?

Yup. This is supposedly a civilization site, that is why, say, Age of Wonders wouldn't qualify for its own forum.
Now, the owners apparently thought that RoN qualifies as a civilization game... And to further support that claim that it wasn't just because it is a Brian Reynolds game, they say that Pirates! will never get its own forums, even though its a Sid Meier game.

You can dicuss AOW here, and several threads have. There would not be enough traffic to justify a forum.

Thats cause BR created Civ2 and SMACX, both of which are leaps and bounds ahead of Civ1 and Civ3 for that matter

I'll say out loud, what many think.
That a game like RON is covered here at Poly, is nothing less than a travesty

Neither of which I play....and neither of which are, to the best of my knowledge, covered by Poly.

RON seemed okay for a RTS
It seemed to have most of the civilization type things in the game- but in a RTS kind of way. I played the demo, didn't get the game because I don't care for RTS gameplay that much.

Well, if you look at the amount of activity on the RoN forums, you'll find out that neither do most Apolytoners...

*glances at RON forums*
yes they do seem slow.
perhaps they should condense them all into 1 forum.

A game qualifies for its own forum if Mark and Dan say it does.

Make them into one and stick it into the "Other Games" or "Alternative Civs" category, where it belongs.

A native-american dwelling. But I'm not sure if it's used to refer to tee-pees, huts, wood lodges, or what.

Very successful thread-jack, by the way.
Who started this thread-jack, again?

Actually, I seem to remember it being some sort of portable dwelling... perhaps what the nomadic buffalo hunters used.

Best and only good answer so far.
And if the threadjacking continues, I'll slam it down.
RAH
And yes we do the owners.

I'd say Ron should also just be a minor forum to Other games, since it's never used... and only have a general forum, not 4 different...

I'm so confused by Alex's post that I'll cut you some slack on that one Vovan. Maybe you can help. Which mod is he talking about? If he thinks my post was a threadjack, he is quite confused.

The RON forums should not be. Period. Brian Reynolds has betrayed his heritage, and Apolyton is helping him do it. Down with RON.

When I first started modding it, it was quite active. Then it kind of dried up, but recently it has been more active. Not dead yet.
