Thirty Years War - a history.
A new king is crowned in Sweden. An intelligent, yet handsome young man, he is destined to be a great leader, loved by his people but feared by his enemies. His name is Techumseh Adolphus!

Jay I the Bee, supreme ruler of the Protestants is sitting on his chair and wondering if there is something rotten in his kingdom... no wait, it wasn't that... he's wondering why the Civ2 file takes so long to reach his mighty and noble hands.
(Oops, sorry Stefan, I thought Denmark was also part of the Protestants )

Stefan I. Hamlet (or Härtel for the less-cultivized people) has been crowned, coincidentally at almost the same time as every other king in Europe.
[Edit]: Oops the greatest of all Kings, the King of Denmark just revealed a secret of state.
To Be or not to Be, that is the Question...
The rest is Silence

In the honour of the rise to the throne of his Majesty Hector Ier, a great feast lasting several days has been held. Several recently crowned leaders of European countries, as hardly any European ruler at the moment seems to be sitting at his current post for longer than a year, have been reported to have attended the festivities.
Now that all festivities have finally come to an end, the new King has retreated himself in his palace to reflect on the current political situation and study the possibilities of military action against the enemies of our glorious nation.
At what point of time this projected action will take place is not yet known at the moment, as it seems that the King is waiting for certain things to happen. In a great speach to the people yesterday he announced:
"We are at the moment still very drunk from our recent party, but we expect a letter from our dear Stefan I. Hamlet shortly, which will probably force us to start with our most annoying state affairs. Maybe after these affairs have been taken care of, we can give another little party."
When this announced "letter" from the newly crowned Danish King will arrive is not yet known at the moment.
Le Roi est mort. Vive Hector Ier !!
Long vie à notre Roi !!

(OK, that was nothing else than German, tried to act as Danish by poor spelling and by replacing "e"'s, "ä"'s, "a"'s and "ö"'s with Danish umlauts )
But because we do not want to make troubles with out French friends (at least not yet), our translator has translated this letter into the language of our ... well, those guys you don't want to have anything to do with :
"Our letter is scheduled to arrive soon, but we cannot as of yet say when. We beg our French friend for patience.
We would find it amusing if our French friend could upload our portrait."
Notre amience est temporaire. Je n'aime pas des grenoullies

From Hector Ier to Stefan I. Hamlet, king of the Danish.
"We would be glad to upload the portrait of our colleague, but we cannot find the image, even when typing in the link manually.
Further, we would like to invite you for a little dinner. The menu will consist of only frogs, for the sake of the good relationship between both of our countries."

A breathless dispatch rider arrives at the Court in Stockholm. "Sire," he reports, "the Polish city of Parnu in Livonia has fallen to our glorious army. The fortifications were taken intact. General Yumpin Yimminy sends you his regards."

Un menu avec cuis de grenoullies... merci beaucoup pour l'invitation, Hector Ier, mais I can't come because of a feast we are celebrating to worship the moon.
On the other hand, we would like to invite you to a dinner to Kopenhavn. We will serve you fresh Icelandic wine. It looks strange, smells strange and tastes strange, but it works perfectly.
Our portrait has arrived at Paris. Unfortunately, our courier was shot dead and was drowned in the Oise once, so we had to restart it.

We, Hector Ier, are very concerned for the well-being of the saved game file, which we expect any time now.
Apparently, the Protestants were the last to have made their move. After that, any trace of has been lost.

Except from my soon to be built wonderful new little palace in Versailles, I can also be reached by electronic courrier.
However, a.h.s.hofelt@student.tn.tudelft.nl is long since not anymore my email. Any e-courrier sent there won't arrive, and will either be found dead somewhere or returned in chains to his fatherland.
No (it's in my profile, btw) it is:
ahofelt@hotmail.com
btw. Stefan I. your French is very impressive!

Yes, let's keep for the rest everything as it is supposed to be in the scenario. I think that that's best.

Does anybody know what this means in Latin?

Jay I the Bee, appointed King of Protestantland by popular election (the true Germanic way) lets you know, pity neighbors, that our mighty troops have taken Prague and Ostrava and will NOT stop there.
None of the cities were considered objectives but Jay the Bee does not care, this conquest thing pleases him greatly. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha...
Imperials to play. Tribute accepted

*Klesh arrives in a time machine from March 1942*
"Marko, did you get the 2194 savegame? I sent it to your yahoo address. If you need it elsewhere, let me know."
*With that, the time traveller returned to his craft and zoomed away leaving the King of the Imperialists in shock.*

Great great, I hope to have it as soon as possible in Paris. First Kopenhagen, of course.
It's about time that France destroys some of her competitors, as that will speed up the turns
