OK,I'll explain.
The bull one represents the Latin Lover team and it's members.
The team was created for the Second Demogame for Play the World here in 'Poly. And it's members are all latins spanish-speakers ( Argentinians, Chileans, Spanish, Mexicans, etc. )
One of the main rule to be a "member" (look at my sig) is to speak spanish.
So, sorry, but, if you don't, and of course, you don't play Civ3 PtW, you can not enter...
But, there's plenty of other teams like Cake or Death, Tabemono, Sunshine, etc, etc. Go to the sub-forum of the DG2PtW here in 'Poly and join to one of those temas if it's your desire (at least, you can speak english there )

The bull represents the "Latin" thing, the "macho" stuff, the one that allows us latinmen to conquer your women!

Hello, my name is asdfn00b9000. I'm a n00b. I need to find out information on Civ2's MP. I see a guy with a "C2MP" badge, and ask him what to do.
Hello, my name is Dude_in_a_DG. I'm in a DG. I need to contact other members of my DG to tell them when a vote is, or other members on other teams of my DG. How can I find out which ones I need to PM? Easy! Just go to the list view for DG members.

Nope, the real translation/interpretation is:
Do you doubt about my ability to speak the glorious spanish language?

What benefits do people get from civ groups?
Actually, I think it's mainly to let other Apolytoners know what games/teams you are interested/playing in.
As far as a "benefit" per se, I don't believe there is one (except for letting others know your gaming interests.

Entendía cada palabra perfectamente. Gané la capacidad de hablar español cuando una vieja mujer sabia me dio una botella de sangría mágica. Estaba tan contento que la golpeé en la cara y robé su bolso.

Although your explanation merits a it's not the entire truth. That's the Osborne bull. If in Spain you can see it almost everywhere. It is the logo of the Osborne Wine Company. It became so popular that it has been adopted as a Spanish/Latin symbol.

well, the best thing about private forums is that you can spam your way to King or even Emperor without much fuss, since the mods there are definitely more lenient than 200-pound gorillas like MtG, for instance....

Nah, the best thing about private forums is that you can talk about the other teams in a demogame and be really really rude and noone will ever know

That's because you've never posted a picture of yourself wearing a dress. No dress picture = no benefits. You are no different than anyone else in that respect, so what's it going to be? Are you IN or OUT of the group?
