This is an idea we use a lot in the ISDG for Civ3. Basically we have a new thread for every turn, detaling orders so everyone can find them a little more easily.

Since things move rather slowly, we should be able to keep track of pop changes and builds made as well.

Here goes...

Status

EC: 161 (+20EC per turn)
Science: Ethical Calculus (turn 5 of 15 - expected in 2157)

-DBTSVerse Portal grows to 3 pop - works sea mins bonus?
-Apolyton Prime builds Probe Defence - changes to ???
-Logic Loop builds Impact Marines - changes to ???

Units to move/give orders to
-New probe Defence in Apolyton Prime
-New Impact Marines in Logic Loop
-Laser Cruiser near PUT base 'Monitoring Station' - continue to explore PUT territory or return to future warzone
-Former at 72, 64 - - - -
-Former at 71, 65 - - - - move one of these to help build the mine on the mins bonus at 76, 66?
-Crawler at 76, 66 crawl minerals
-Former at 67, 69 - - - -
-Former at 67, 81 - - - - forest where they are or farm at 67, 81 or 69, 79?
-Probe Defense at 69, 73 move to Boolean or Bastion for defence against PEACE?
-Crawler in Aurora crawl a forest for mins to speed the Destroyer Transport build in Aurora?
-Formers at 76, 74
-Scout Patrol at 79, 69 escorting CP to new base site?
-Colony Pod at 79, 69 continue to found new base at 81, 63
-Unity Rover at 0, 48

Ideas or already formed orders for most of these would be welcome...

It takes some four turns to move the cruiser to around Alexandria. It will take some four years to finish the cruiser transport. When we want to focus all our firepower on Alexandria in a few years, I think it should start moving south now.

67.79 should build a road first. How about we send (67.81) to farm (65.81)? That's moist as opposed to the two tiles you mention. It will speed Binary Bastion's growth.

Or wait in Boolean to be shipped to Alelxandria if/when conquered?

Time to move back to home soil again I guess, and in the meanwhile check out if there is still a drone scout roaming around on our continent.

Btw, what should we do with the formers on (71.73)? Let them build a road to (74.70), which was envisionised as a future base site, or something else?

When should I play or hold a turnchat btw? Again Saturday 22.00 GMT or some time else? I will be away Saturday in the early evening btw, and I don't know when I will be back - it might be later than 22.00 GMT. So unless more people than previous week plan to go the turnchat, it might be better for me to play Saturday afternoon.

Sorry I been away guys ThanksGiving is a big holiday you know. The Terraforming sounds good, I will start working on the next years internal workings as the next turn falls under December and hence my authority.

A few things I noted.

It may be possible to sell The Angels the Universities Com Link for 20 credits, counsil will happen soon anyways so its a freebie. I hope they haven't contacted each other yet.

I think the laser Cruiser should avoid PEACE territory, I would go North and West so that we can loop around and attack the Pirates in the rear after they scramble all their units eastward in response to our taking Alexandria.

Also on a previous save I noticed that if you use the right click function on Miriams com you can bring up a "demand withdral" option. She dose remove the copter but unfortunatly the tile underneath dose not infact get the Crater Bonus so theirs not much point to doing this, it will only stress the relationship.

I was working from the 2146 save, as there was no 2147 available then. I have upgraded to v2.0 as well.

The idea was to do it a turn in advance with expected events, so we could determine what needed to be done before the turn got here.

About the laser cruiser attacking in the rear, i don't think it can do much damage by itself... i don't see us taking base with a 2-value weapon.
So some optionshere:
1- upgrade that cruiser to impact later so we can effectively attack peace bases with Synth defenders.
2- harrass the hell out of them (killing formers, transports, pillaging their improvements, etc... )
3- move it around so it can support our main attack.
