And you really needed Starbucks to find out where that guy is from?

Actually that would be a promise I could keep, because thankfully it ain't gonna happen at least while Bush remains in power...

Actually, from reading the articles it's an American site registered in Russia. The way they write, their obvious knowledge of arcane Americana, and a couple of other clues leads me to believe this.

It started with Europe breaking trade rules which were first protested by five Latin American countries. Now that we've got that out of the way, the greif giving can begin again.

Yeh, JohnT, I got your e-mail.

Incidentally, what is this, the Matt Taibbi month? I've seen at least four or five Taibbi articles linked to in separate forums recently.

With the US getting involved after Chiquita bought a WTO complaint from Clinton.

The sad thing is, I would have wished for the EU to really lose this case so we can get rid of the stupid banana regime. Unfortunately, we had a GATT waiver to favour ACP bananas, so all the US & co won was a slight change in the banana market regulation.

And it was valued at 100 or 200 million $ - peanuts compared to the US FSC scheme, worth a juicy 4 billion $.
