Guess what I got by mail saturday
Alright, so I am not sure if this belongs here, but I thought I'd share.
So, you remember there was this Rise of Nations beta? And a lot of fan-sites had a little competition where the fans could win a copy, and also there was some kind of official contest? Well, I, along with Comrade Tassadar, IIRC, won a copy from HeavenGames... But never got it... Till the day before yesterday, that is! There it was sitting pretty in my mailbox. It's been what, nine months?
Gotta love USPS. Like they say in those commercials in movie theatres nowadays: not the rain, not the snow, not the temporary loss of gravity, not the monsters made of rusty washing machines, not the black holes that suck in the entire known universe can stop the United States Postal Service from delivering mail on time. (or some such).

the USPS is very good at delivering letter mail on average 1.6 days.
But Fed Ex is better for package mail.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I haven't had any problems with mail before. But nine months? I thought it was was hillarious.

you could upset Brian Reynolds asking him why they changed things in the final version, saying that you liked more the way it was in the beta...

Maybe the postie who delivered it took long service leave for 9 months and then finished his delivery round.

I'd blame heavangames or microsoft (whoever was rsponsible for shipping the game) not the usps. The usps workers are too damned crazy

So it has really been under way for nine months??
As in the post stamp is dated nine months ago??
If so that is truly amazing. Even our postal service here in Denmark is faster than that
