Yes, you can, however the XBOX controller has one built into it.
Seems like a mighty large coincidence
Btw, the game shipped with the same ****ups the demo version had (iXBox settings in the .ini files etc). The 1.1 patch, that came out on the week after, fixed them, thank ghod. It didn't remove "vibration" though. And who the heck would play DX on a joystick? Or a gamepad - er, never mind.

Oh, also, I played the two other endings, and after I got the hang of it, the final area was ridiculously easy. The difficulty curve didn't rise after all, the game was easy till the end. And short, it only took about 12, 13 hours in total with all the endings as I guesstimated. Sigh.

I give Deus Ex II a resounding thumbs-up-the-ass award for boringness, repetitiveness, and extremely poor coding job.

I just got hold of DX2 today, and I reckon it's a seriously shoddy piece of coding. The game has the potential to really pull me in (I've gone for the WTO storyline for my first game), but it took me about 2 hours of pissing around, downloading various patches, drivers and tools before it ran at anything vaguely approaching reasonable speeds (bear in mind I'm on an XP 2500+ with a Radeon 9600, so it shouldn't run half bad). All in all, it looks like Ion Storm are going to way of Paradox.

Paradox is an entirely different kettle of fish. When you put out a strategy sim as complex as some of theirs there's just no reasonable way to ensure that all of the details fall into place. That can only come from extensive testing with literally thousands of players.
In their defense they stick with whatever they've put out until they and their customers are satisfied that its working properly.

So sad. They had a great formula in Deux Ex 1 (one of the best games out there) which they had to **** up,
