Russia pulls out of Kioto - What is the future of the Protocol?
I accuse partly USA for this. I mean are the Russia and US irresponsible or what?

I take this Kyoto stuff as proof that the human species is no more capable of controlling its effect on the environment then a bunch rabbits, America representing all of our basest instincts enshrined in a superpower...

Yes and it's dead because these two big ones are morally corrupt and think they can continue their evil ways.

Just more proof that it was a flawed treaty.

Just a question. Do other countries have regularly scheduled mandatory car emission tests like the US? Where if the car fails you must have it fixed or face a license suspension. Or is this just a US thing.

Why would Russia support a treaty that doesn't help it in anyway? I am surprised it signed it in the first place.

I'm sure you know that not all states have them.

In answer to your question.

Sweden does
I'll bet the other nordic countries and Germany do (99% sure)
I dont recall the vehicle inspections in Canada doing an emission test but the tests varied from province to province anyway.

Rah, my impression from our European friends is that the governments just prefer to tax the hell out of cars and gasoline so they can force people to pay for public transportation. Given this contempt for their citizenry, I'm sure that they have very stringent emission standards that, if you don't meet them, allows for even more money to flow in the coffers.

Yeah, I'm in a pissy mood today. So sue me.

Well, EU has a lot to lose if global warming hits the fan. Russia has more pressing considerations.

I figured there were a few states that didn't. There's always a few states for everything.

In Illinois it is quite strict and they take it seriously. Maybe as strict as California

So as far as emissions go, I can trust you my American friends, that in Europe, or at least in most parts, or at least in northern parts we are very uptight and anal about it. I mean, next thing I know I have to file a report if I fart outdoors and pay fines for destroying the ozone crap. I hate it anyway, I wish we'd kill the big O so we could just stop talking about it.

We should just attack the border control anyway, I want my cars in regular prices, not in northern european prices where you are punished for owning a car. And again punished if you drive it. Because that makes you a polluter and a rich mofo anyway. I say to every car owner.. let's take these hypocrite commies back to where they belong (6 feet under) and rise victorious to our NEW and GLORIOUS future wher WE decide what we can do with our money and cars. What's the point of working anyway, if I can't buy cars with it. It's not supposed to be treated as luxury, it's just a freaking car! KILL THE TRAITORS!

No insult intended. There are a few real nice areas in Tennesse. There're a few nice areas in Mississippi too, it's just that they're harder to find.

Memphis, where Fedex's HQ lies, is a shitty town.

Back on topic, I think Russians would rather enjoy some global warmings.

Memphis is a shitty town. Fortunately I'm over 350 miles away, so we don't catch the smell all too often.
