There's something wrong with it at poll time (at least that's what I'm assuming he's saying).
There are still a lot of idiots out there who wouldn't vote for a Catholic, never mind a Jew.

Nothing if you are just speaking of the religion in general. It makes for a poor candidate however. Americans like their presidents protistant (sp?).

here is my list more or less
1. Lieberman- the only decent moderate on the list. He isn't some crazy socialist like most democracts seem to be now days. His con is he seems a bit weak on issues and offers no solutions to problems (all the democracts suffer from this). Grade. C+
2. Kerry- I still don't know much about this guy- but he seems reasonable. Grade C
3. Edwards- Same as Kerry I guess. Nothing too bad, nothing too good. Grade C
4. Clark- This guy has reversed positions awefully fast about the Iraq war. Is he really a democrat? Grade C-
5. Gephardt- he's okay I guess. Nothing special. Grade C-
6. Dean- I'll vote for him if he runs only because I don't think Bush is good for the country (though I would take most other republicans over Dean). Who knows, maybe his crazy lefty commie ideas might shake things up and help the country. Grade D+
7. Braun- Her stance on issues isn't too bad. Maybe a woman could stir things up in politics- probably not though. Grade D
8. Kucinich- aside from his appearance I don't think this guy is tooo bad. Some of what he says makes some sense. Grade D-
9. Sharpton- racist. There I said it. Can I call a black man a racist without being called a racist myself? We'll see. Just take a look at what this guy does in the name of "civil rights". He's not a civil rights leader, he's a fraud. I would make a point to personally assassinate him if he becomes president. Grade F-----------------------

1. Dean
Nice guy. Better president.
2. Gephardt
Down to earth. Not a member of the entitled class.
3. Edwards
Boring, stable.
4. Clark
He looks good. Not settled on his personality.
5. Kerry
The epitome of boring. It's almost exciting how boring he is.
6. Lieberman
I'm not an anti-semite, I'm an anti-Joe Lieberman
7. Braun
Well, at least she isn't Kucinich
8. Kucinich
Well, at least he isn't Sharpton
9. Sharpton
Well...

That's basicaly how I feel about him too. The only person who I want to vote for this time around isn't running (J. Mccain R-Arizona)

Sad to say, but the odds are long on a woman becoming prez. Now what are the odds on a Black woman....

He has no name recognition, and has had no government experience except in the house. Perhaps in the future, 2004 is too close for him to be a serious candidate.

I won't go that far, but his race politics and his status as a reverend make him irrelevent as far as the nomination is concerned.

Hillary has a chance.
No seriously she does have a chance in 08 (definately not 04). Because Cheney said he won't run, and I don't think they are going to replace him as VP in 04, they will have no one to groom for pres. And the repugs will be facing a leadership crisis like the democrats are now in 4 years.

Still gives me zero confidence for ' 04. And with "Four more years" of the third anti-christ I wonder if we will have a democratic party in '08 (or for that matter; a country to call my own).

Women do not tend to vote in the primaries. And most do not vote just based on looks. His policies are not women-friendly either (his stance on abortion for instance is somewhat suspect.) He claimes he is pro-choice, but there seems to be some doubt about that. Ultimately the last thing is that he may be good looking he is not charismatic and will lack voter appeal IMO. The acusations of the illegal killings in vietmam would make him a lame duck if he gets the nomination.

Accusations of illegal killings under his direct command

Again, that was Bob Kerrey, former senator from Nebraska, not John Kerry, current senator from Massachusetts.

I think that prochoice is a bit more women freindl but not overly so
in fact, most people I know who are strongly one side or another are women
and women seem to be split on the abortion debate (from personal expereince)
men seem to be mostly I don't care, which corresponds to prochoice

but strongly for it?
I know hardly any males who are prolife
in general males seem to be 'I don't care' or prochoice

Uh, I would rethink that one, Jon Miller -- IIRC, there are some men who are outspoken participants or leaders of some of the picketing done at abortion clinics.

oh I agree
men are generally trying to lead any cause (that seems to be men's thing)
I just think that the average male doesn't care

Mmm, from what I read on Kerry's website, he seems to be somewhat alien to reality. He seriously says that he wants to make congressional-grade health insurance available to everyone in the US, I'm not joking. Also, he seems to be planning to:
A.Give Iraq to the UN, and at the same time
B.Keep Iraq under US control.
Seeing as the rest of the world has said over and over again that they won't take care of our mess for us at all, I think he's being a liiiiittle optimistic there. At least Clark and Dean follow some line of coherent reasoning, whether you agree with them or not.
'Course, even Kerry makes sense compared to the babble on whitehouse.gov. The economy can be recovered by "reducing the burden of lawsuits," removing pollution regulations, and, he still insists, with tax breaks for the rich. Part of a six-point plan. So I say better Kerry than Bush, but beyond that...eh.

because Kerry is a phony...
he's a Bush enabler... voted FOR the Iraq resolution... vote FOR the Patriot Act, yet criticizes both...
plus he's an elitist, IMO
Despite what the haters think about Sharpton, I think he's at least a straight talker. Plus, having Sharpton be the first African American president would just be hilarious.
BTW, if Hillary enters the race, I'll cry. I rate her below or equal to Lieberman. I don't want those damn Clintonians getting their claws in power again.
Elok... right on about Kerry
but I guess that's why so many conservatives like him

I'm hoping Edwards catches fire and wins because he is from my state. I think it will be fun to watch Bush beat him in his home state in the general election as he did Gore.

Plus I will say that the democrats screwed up by yanking Gore. He would have stood a better chance to win than any of these guys just based on the fact that at least half of America believes he got shafted last time.

And one more thing. No democrat can win running from the left. The battle is always for the center, which Clinton understood.

As to the question of Religion, the Muslims and Arabs Christians are apparently going to vote against Bush, but probably not if Lieberman is the candidate.

Doubtful. The Republicans have great party loyalty and once some governor takes the lead, the party will fall in behind and prevent the kind of infighting the Dems usually have. At most there will be 2 major candidates who every one knows are the major ones.

The Republicans do have a solid "rally round the annointed one" thing going on. I mean, this is the party that managed to rally 'round George W. Bush.
