The Nth Great Storm of '03
Remember last winter? It appears that this winter does.
Just started here in Belleville, northern New Jersey, and it's not wasting any time -- lots of flakes, going horizontal more often then not.

Flew home from Kansas on Wednesday -- your weather must have followed me home.
Either that, or it's come to give Horse a proper North American Winter Welcome!

about 2 or 3 inches of snow and (yuck!) "wintry mix" in DC area. Towns not quite paralyzed - yet.

I flying up to NY/CT for the day on wednesday. I've lived with lots of snow before but I have no idea of what to wear with a suit in the snow? Hopefully I wont have to walk through any snow.

There's not much on the ground in the city yet. Mostly rain right now.
Supposed to change to snow and we'll get 4-8" overall by tomorrow evening. That's a nice snow.

Ah, the ground's been coated with snow for at least a month now. Not too much, though, so I'm fine with it.
It was hella windy last night, though.

News says it's averaging five inches in NYC, already, nearing a foot in some partds of western New Jersey and no end in sight. Airports are shutting down, as has Route 1&9. Other roads and bridges are in a very bad way.

Here's an apartment building and houses across the street -- the striping you see is an artifact of the photo being shot through a window screen.

Predicting as much as another foot in Manhattan/NYC today. At $1 million an inch, snow is expensive stuff!
