Israel
Has anyone done an Israeli CIV mod? can someone give me a link to a decent 'Israeli' city list.
As much as I love this game, one of the things that has always amazed me about CIV 3 is how Israel has never appeared as a CIV choice.
31 CIVs that include everything from Zulu's to Hittites....... but no Israel?...... come on, you got to be kidding.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
Ision.

one day, all unrepresented cultures will make their way into civ games, and my pygmy army, complete with the unique pygmy scout (a regular scout, but treats all jungle as roads) will rule the world - five foot ceilings for everyone!
after i win with them, i'm moving on the amish. those buggies are FIERCE!

I actually have Israel in a personal mod at home. I copied the city list from maps at the back of my Bible and from an "Our World" volume by Reader's Digest. I won't upload the mod, though, as it's a personal mod with hordes of custom stuff. (Lots of flavor units, added in the Confederacy... )

Download TETurkan's Test of Time mod. It has the Israelites as a civ. It was also one of the mods with PTW.
I used to play it all the time before i got Conquests.
But the real question is: Why is Brian Boru not the Celtic leader in the Middle Ages scenario? He's not one of the greatleaders either. Not a mention of him.

GhengisFarb is working on a great Ben Gurion leaderhead right now, once that is done the leaderhead can be used with the city lists and Merkava special unit already made.

Yes they have.
Having already posted the URL once, all I can say is "go and look on Civfanatics".
And if the mods don't like me for recommending an alternate site - why don't they have the mods on hand for download?

Whats a merkava? Is that a kosher avocado or something? (Joke ! Joke!)
Of course an Irish UU would be the Disgruntled Drunken Novelist.

It could have the special ability of making enemy cities go into unrest. LOL.

Nah, it's the only unit that would have to defect to England before it could be of any use. And then you have to wait 20 years after it was dead to really be appreciated.

Not sure about some of those Israeli cities... Capernaum was Roman, Damascus was there before the Israelites ever were, Bethany was not a city but a leper colony just outside Jerusalem (it always amuses me that this has nevertheless apparently become a girl's name in America!).

Philadelphia = Fila del Fia
Philadelphia, along with a whole pile of cities, and towns in the US got their names from other, or older cities around the world, or were named after famous people.

[Salah al-Din] Yes, and of course the Egyptians have Memphis too. Iit amuses me greatly that if you try to look up the Great Library of Alexandria on Google you get the website of the library at a town called Alexandria, Virginia. Not really what I was looking for.

I take it that the strategic resource required is whiskey and that we need to build the "Giant's Causeway" first.
Or would bombing the English capital work.
