2143 to Googlie. Sorry about the delay, had to get multiple job applications out to transfer out of my division in the FAA, as of October I no longer have a job. I even sent to two 10 page applications to Alaska - to quote my little girl, as she pulls her arms into her body and says "cold".

shawnmmcc's been AWOL in a couple of other games for over 3 weeks now - and we are looking for replacements there.
I suggest we post a vacancy here too (April 14 was his last post anywhere)
Maybe Hobbes - he recently dropped out of (eliminated) the battlefield earth game
I'll e-mail both shawnmmcc and hobbes to see what's what

Sorry about the abscence - I just got out of hospital. My cocktail of blood pressure drugs caused some really serious heart arrythmia, and I managed to get to the hospital before I went into ventricular fibrillation (it scared the sh*t out of my wife when they had to restart me). They've changed my drugs, and I seem to be OK. I am taking it very easy. My little girl loves having daddy home. Look for a replacement please, I'm am going to be taking it easy for at least a couple of months.

I'm very sorry to hear that, but happy that you're ok. By all means, concentrate on the most important things in your life such as your family.

If you're in need of a Morgan lover player, I'm interested. I am untried in 'Poly playing, though, I've played 2 multiplayer games before, and am playing two with friends now.
And normally, I don't trash talk. (Just in case you've read some of my recent posts).
I consider myself skilled, whether or not I am, I hope to find out.

2145 to Googlie
Oh, I'm a bit of a SMAX newbie, but my colors were off this turn, Morgan was Yang blue. I've never encountered this problem, and thought it was related to copies of factions? Can/should I ignore it?

2145 to laurentius
Ka Plewy: It's a common problem with smax - if you want to see the correct colors, you need to edit your alphacentauri.ini file (in your smac directory) with the correct turn order - the last save you have determines (in smax) what faction colors come up in the next PBEM you open
Most of us don't bother (eg, as the PKs in this game I was Gaian green), but in the ACDG democracy game I maintain a word file with the seven factions in correct order, and I copy this over to the .ini file before I open the turn. This, though, is mainly 'cos I do screenies for team players that don't have smax - that way they can follow the action as it unfolds turn by turn, in the correct colors

Either laurentius (to whom I sent it on the 14th) or Hercules (laurentius doesn't always post when he's passed it on)
