C3C PBEM to PTW PBEM Questions?
I have got C3C... loving it.
But what do I do about playing and saving PTW PBEM games so that those with out C3C will not be affected?
I have given my PTW disc to a mate who only has CIV III so that we could play some 3 player PBEM, with another local, on a local timetable etc..... He could not open my saves. I believe that I have converted his file to C3C, thus he got a corrupted file message.
Have I just lost the plot on thinking that when the C3C box states it contains PTW, that we could play PBEM?
So does that mean we can not talk from C3C to those on PTW.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated...

It may be easiest just to try it out with your friend.

I've heard rumor that if you uninstall Civ and PTW and then install Civ and C3C you won't have the problems with PTW saves.
Can neither confirm nor deny it.

Thanks for ideas.
SirOsis I have tried your suggestion, and am awaiting some feedback on how it went.

It didn't work. I could load the file only in C3C not PTW. Anyone get this to work?

Possibly the problem is that you need to run the PTW exe, not C3C. I did try this with the C3C CD in the drive and it would not start PTW. However I have a euro PTW so it may work with a US PTW.
If you can't run the PTW exe with the C3C CD then you either have to use the PTW CD or a virtual disk set up or do the illegal thing I won't mention because it gets threads locked by the mods.

Thanks Cerberus. I have tried it and I believe that you have the answer.
I have sent through another test save to SirOsis.
It is all good.
