AUSG101 - Diplomatic Solo Path - DAR3
Turns 81 - 120:
1000BC - 170BC
Detailed, turn-by-turn DAR's are going out of fashion faster than Paul Wolfowitz, so I'll keep it minimal.
Block 3 saw the completion of expansion and the commencement of building - marketplaces, courthouses in addition to finishing off the temples and a couple of granaries. 1 Mkt completed so far. Tempted to spend pile of cash on buildings, but holding back for now. Military levelled off. Tech reached the middle ages, and contact was made with the Civs on the Western continent via Japan's Lighthouse. San Francisco, near Japan and the northern spice cluster flipped to me.
All calm and cosy, with a larger army than my continental rivals, and more land and cities. There's still Carthaginian land untaken.
The Black land looks like it's gonna roll over India soon.
The Plan
Build Cathedrals and grow cities. Refocus a little on military to ensure save borders. Maybe a few gifts if the AI's are thinking it's war time. Probably spend some money on the Courthouses.
Military:
13 workers
21 Spearmen
8 Swords
6 Horsemen
2 catapults
1 galley
Average to Mordor, Strong to all other civs.
Tech:
Monotheism in 13 turns.
Mordor has Feudalism, Japan & America have Literature
Bablyon & Carthage are 2 techs behind, India 3 techs behind
Economy:
18 Cities
Pop total : 70
1585 Gold
Land :1st
GNP, Mfg, Prod : 2nd
Diplomacy
Tech deals with Japan & America usually involved gpt from me to them to discourage war, but less gifts this block.
Embassies established with newly-met civs
Build Completion log for block 3:
(may have missed some)

The Save (attempt 2)
Oops, I forgot the save. Then posted it on the wrong thread.
also, the pics I posted aren't displaying when I view the thread. In fact, poly graphics are a bit out-to-lunch for me generally at the moment. Is it just my browser that's tired, or has anyone else had problems?

Block Update
Since posting the DAR, there were still diplomatic options left on the turn, and I traded my Spices for Japan's Literature, which should be an effective peacekeeping trade. Also signed RoPs with the other continent.
Japan has been squeezed onto the other continent, where it's bound to find the going tough. Is it just my experience, or does the AI often manage the Lighthouse when boxed in?
I forgot to mention that the Hanging Gardens was 2 turns from completion in Mecca. Nice wonder to throw up when expansion's over and there's a growing Civ to keep happy .
I want Sistine and 'Pernies to get the GA, but it's a bit early for a prebuild on Sistine.
Oh, and Kogoshima flipped to me next turn. Way to go! 2 in 5 turns. Glory to Allah!
