I'm game, what scenario you want to play?
How about Hellas? I don't recall too many airplanes in that.

Ill be available i hope although i am english so the time difference would be a problem but i dont sleep much so thats that problem solved. No planes hey hmm tricky one. Seize the crown would be a good one to play what with everyone trying to be nice to each other so they could trade and not lose money but at the same time trying to outdo each other so that when hostilities did come they would crush there opponents. so a suggestion there

If the slot is still open, maybe I could play Chalcis. Alternatively, I could be a sort of referee and play the Persians. They are too strong for a human who was really trying to win, but I would stick to the historical script and give the Greeks a real good reason to hang together!
The plan would be to make it a better game for the Greek players, rather than for the Persians to "win", but I would love to see how the game pans out if the Persians do what they're supposed to. If it's encouraging, I would do a variant of Hellas for when the Persians are played by a human.
My limits are: I can't play before 21st May at the earliest (another PBEM game) and I can only play Monday to Friday, 18:00 - 02:00 GMT. If that's too limiting, I will understand.

it´s hellas a build empire scenario??
I like build empire scenario but they are too slow for pbem game..
I´d rather play one with a lot of action but if all of you want to play that one....
which nation is left??
how many are we playing??
what about Peloponnesian war?? there is more action in the game but Athens should be a little modify

I do believe Athens is taken and ill play this scenario but i agree with you Shak that i like a little bit more action which is why i recommend Seize the crown by John Ellis because you have a sizeable force at the start but hey guys any more suggestions and remember we are limited because someone doesnt like planes grr! lol

If we're not doing Hellas, then I think I'm game for sieze the crown, only, where do I find it? Your descriptions sound great!
However, if any of you are still up for Hellas I'd still like to play. I love empire building games, especially ones with Greece.

JMarks if you look through the Topics in this very same room then youll find a topic about Sieze The crown and that will lead to a link to download it. and it is a very hard scenario. but with 4 or so humans all co-operating it could be intresting because as soon as you develope a certain tech all the peeps go to war so you have to co-operate to succeed but also build up your forces for the "final confrontation"

The great thing about pbem is that everyone doesnt need to be online at the same time, I don't think that it is to limiting.

Seize the Crown! sounds good to me. (But then I AM slightly biased here...) I would like to take a family in the following order:
1) De Bohun
2) Bigod
3) De Lacy
4) Plantagenet
5) Neville
6) Scots
I think De Blois (King Stephen) should be left to the computer. Who is "leading" this scenario? For their info my email is netdesign@zoom.co.uk. Not many of you seem to use ICQ, but I am registered there - same nickname - if needed.
JMarks: You can also get the StC scenario from http://pages.zoom.co.uk/netdesign/scenarios.htm
By the way, you should not download the Colonies 3.12 beta you will see there. I found a small bug in it last night and will post a fixed copy by 24:00 GMT today (10th May 01)
I am also up for Hellas as well or instead, maybe with a slightly different group. Chalcis would be my choice there, or as I said earlier, a game-balancing sort of Persian. I see that most people like to play Athens, which is my favourite too, but Chalcis has some real Persian bashing fun, usually.
All I need now is a Bonaparte PBEM game, and I'll be simultaneously playing all my scenarios against various non-AI opponents. Magic.
John

Thanks, finally got Sieze. I'll await further instruction as to what happens next...
However, I do want to play Hellas, so all still interested, I'll start a new topic regarding it. I still get Athens!
