I reckon you can fit 4-5 towns in there.... you'd still have 2 cows per city if that were the case!
Get to Monarchy superfast, then, oh, I dunno.... two settler/worker pumps and 3 military pumps?

Hmmm... And I thought that the one I had with 4 in it was a fluke. Just out of curiosity, what difficulty level are those from?
Also I've noticed more tile clumping when you choose 3M in the age section.

I thought I was cool with five starting cows. However, my continent was too far away from any other civs to continue playing. Once I conquered the Chinese, I had nothing else to do 'till I got Navigation, which wasn't gonna happen for a long, long, time.

Once I got a beautiful deity start with 11 cows (yes, 11) in my city radius. However, there were no horses nor iron on my continent.
That one looks impressive.

8 wines, 2 wheat, rest juicy grasslands. immediate hut-popped with pottery.

You know what would be cool? If there was a place where players could post the 4000BC turn for games that turned out to be very interesting so that other players could give it a try. (If this is already out there please point me to it as I'm not aware of it).
