This is from Mao:
OOC: Hodad, you can't retreat to Thorn, that's where my attack came from, unless your commander is dumb enough to use a full frontal assault and then try to retreat through my lines to Thorn if you lose the battle, you can't retreat there.

More from Mao:
Hodad, your V Corps do not arrive in West Prussia! They are already engaged in combat with my I Corps. Are you retreating from that battle?

Munich- His majesty King Maximillian of Bavaria announced today that he would offer "invitations of alliance" to the nations of Hesse and Saxony. By doing so, the three countries can maintain a close economical and militarial partnership. His excellency also announced the training of 10,000 regulars in order to strengthen defence for Bavaria.
Also, the King said there are no invasions planned in the next few months.

IMPERIAL NEWS
Todya in Vienna Kaiser Francis I announced to Austria that he would promote the independence of the new Kingdom of Belgium. The part of the Austrian Netherlands ceded to Austria in the agreement. The new principlaity will have it's capital in Nemur and it's new ruler will be decided after a council with France and Holland. Kaiser Francis I has declared that Belgium will not be a Austrian dependancy unless France and Holland cooperate. As the Kaiser said quote:
We encourage the powers of France and the Netherlands to give up their claims on Belgium as well for the betterment of the new Belgian state. The people of Belgium deserve to have a voice in their own affairs and not be divided up like a turkey
|
Meanwhile the II, IX, and XII Corps have marched into Poland to meet up with XVI Corps in Galicia. The Polish II Corps has moved to intecept though.
To the leaders of France and Holland,
We encourage you to help create a peaceful and neutral Belgian state. The Belgians don't deserve the indignity of imperialism.
From His Imperial Majesty Kaiser Francis I
To the honored Duke Victor,
We congratulate you on your victory over the Lombards. We would offer you our assistance but at the moment we are very busy with other affairs.
From His Imperial Majesty Kaiser Francis I
To His Majesty Maximilian I,
We here in Austria are offended by your lack of an invitation to us.
From His Imperial Majesty Kaiser Francis I
OOC Notes - I think that this Belgian idea is a good one. Instead of splitting it up I think we should make it an independant kingdom kind of like IRL. Tell me what you guys think.

France will not give up Liege unless a certain ruler were to take all of Belgium under a new flag, one that Europe has never seen before.

To his French majesty,
Please put your fears aside. Austria wishes to choose an unbiased ruler on the Belgian throne. Preferrably a noble from a neutral European country. Would a Swede be suitable. If not I'm sure one of the Itlaian or Spanish nobles could be persuaded to take the Belgian throne.
From His Imperial Majesty Kaiser Francis I

Let's see.
1 corps, 20.000 in Christiania
1 corps, 35.000 in Gothenburg
1 corps, 20.000 in Malmo
1 corps, 15.000 also in Malmo
1 corps, 25000 in Hamburg
3 heavy warships, 2 transports and 5 light warships in Copenhagen
The troops in Gothenburg, assuming they will, walked from Christiania. 3 steps around the 2 fjord. The 2 corpses in Malmo went over from Copenhagen using the two transports.

[i]Kaiser Francis--
As head of Bavaria I feel the need to apologise for my misinvitation of an alliance with Austria. It seems one of my aides gave me incorrect information about your country, thus I feared Austria was planning a takeover. Because I have offended you, I hereby give an apology and extend an "invitation of alliance" with the great nation of Austria. My apologies for my misinformation.
OOC: Chris--
I have 20000 men at Munich and 15000 men at Nurembourg.

I'm going to need a deputy battle mod... anyone interested please ICQ me, and I'll teach you how to use the battle simulator...
JT... I'll get your rebattle tommorrow, same with Mao.
Battle of Gothenburg will be tommorrow as well... seeming as Sweden has no ruler now...
I'm thinking of no longer controlling the NPCs, and taking one nation, though I don't know how we'd work NPC battles then...

OOC:I say let everyone do their own battles-and if we find out they've cheated, kick them out.
Chris-thanks, deployments later today
IC:With the conquest of Ancona complete, the troops of the army of Naples have moved further north, into the territory north of Ancona. Small-scale resistance has been offered in a few places although as Ancona has no formal army it is only a matter of time.
To Piedmont
We urge not to enter Romagna...there will be severe consequences should one of your soldiers set foot in the city.
OOC:budget later today
