Anybody else hate christmas?
The stress of buying presents, being constantly bombarded with xmas images and stuff. And worse of all: happy people. Happy people irritate me! Happy people suck. Sartre should be taught to every seven-year old.
Discuss!

I hate every holiday... I hate x-mas even more because of the Christian hypocrisy involved in the birth of baby jesus turning into a commercial pagan love-fest.

Classic symptom of depression. But diagnosing people over the internet sucks more than almost anything.

for you elijah:
"Hanukka, Oh Hanukka,
Come light the Menorah.
Let's have a party,
We'll all dance the Hora.
Gather round the table,
We'll give you a treat,
Sevivonim to play with,
And latkes to eat.
And while we are playing,
The candles are burning low.
One for each night,
They shed a sweet light,
To remind us of days long ago.
One for each night,
They shed a sweet light,
To remind us of days long ago."

Me? I'm the happiest person that ever lived! I'm dancing with glee as I post this now! My fingers bound joyfully upon receptive keys as a grin stretches across my ok I admit it, misery is comforting! It's what'll bring home the bacon!

Dreydels you orthodox dinosaur... dreydels!!!!
Hannukah also sucks, but it spreads out the happiness across eight days, instead of concentrating it in one hellishly cold anti-climax of an excuse for ratings and turkey genocide.

Yiddish is an excuse for having mucas in your throat. At least with Hebrew you get to confuse people with vowels, or lack thereof!

Happy people suck? Let me tell you what sucks.
-Flu sucks
-Interest sucks
-Taxes suck
-A dead battery sucks
-A dead power supply sucks
-Fez sucks
Now these things suck. Happy people make these go away.

I like Christmas and I'm not even a Christian. Why are you irritated by seeing people who are happy? Do you become happy when you see others sad?
I don't even mind the crowds because I know people are out shopping for presents that will bring joy to others and hopefully to the gift givers as well.
Christmas to me is like the end of the 2001 sequel, 2010.

I hate christmas too. But my family has agreed not to do the present thing, and I don't watch TV anymore (thus I am not exposed to all the horrid specials and ads) so maybe I will stop hating it... still, I have to put up with all those irritating christmas lights and crap all over the place, but it's geting better.

I like Christmas, if for nothing else than for the summer sausage from Hickory Farms and Peppermint Ice Cream... Two thing I never eat the rest of the year, but eat plenty of this time of the year (on my second tub of ice cream, and 5th beef stick this month alreaady!)
The gift thing is a little over board, and I fall for it. I just spent $600 on my wives christmas present!!! and WHY!? Because some guy was born a long time ago! Some guy I don't even believe in, anymore than I believe any other guy was born! Why don't we just buy presents for everyone we know every day of the year!!!
Damn. I'm starting to hate it.
