Perhaps we need to stop scaring the women away.
There's a gorgeous one in the picture thread who seems to have left. Perhaps you all put her off.

Re: Re: Re: We need more women here
Well get unscared. Or just allow evolution to weed you out.
Actually, I hope more guys would be like this. It decreases my competetion for the available women out there.
I feel for you because I was the same way and then I got smart. I got unscared. That's the most sympathy you'll see from me on this subject. From now on I will just berate you until you change.

let's face it, women don't like civ games... they want a man who could listen to their endless prattle, take them out for dinner and buy them delicate and romantic gifts, and not a smelly geek who yells at them "hey, woman, gimme another beer, I'm going to attack these damned Zulus and I want to celebrate my next victory!!!"

No site that is dominated by young sexist male gamers with potty-mouths, few social skills, and a total disregard for the opinions of others (oops, redundant) will ever be frequented by women. Get used to it. Or change.

Ohmygosh! OMFG!!!11 OMG!!111 I have to get worried now.
First of all - women do play. RTS/TBS titles too. Or how would you otherwise explain all female Civers? I recall several stories about women playing Civ II and Civ III from many months ago, when I was still more active than now. Also I know in person at least one woman that plays strategy games, so I can back my words with credible proof. Women aren't all and only for chit chat and romantic gifts, venues and what not. Not all Civ playing men are like the extreme type you mentioned; at least I'm not and I believe you're not that either. So IMHO your conclusion is too harsh.

Which would normally be okay, of course. Except that their bed has a window on its side.

A habit I picked up from AH.
B = Blessed
V = Virgin
M = Mary
It makes more sense with my former location sig, 'blessed art thou amongst women.'

Although at this time of the year, she would be rather more buxom.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were getting rather crochety in your rocking chair. Don't you have better things to do than to spend time with such puerile children?

We only need more women if they participate in the pictures threads in the OT .

Doesn't this forum's user control panel have an entry for gender? What are the stats?

There is a an old thread in this forum with a bunch of interesting stats including that one. IIRC there were a fair few 'amusing' answers, so it's worth digging up if you can.

Maybe you looked the wrong one up. He did say some amusing ones. I think there was another thread where he didn't though. Which is probably the one you found.
