Someone please download this, and tell me of any problems...

We also need to make a small test to see if the socket works (I don't have other computers to test on)...

I get the same error as before... or do you need to run it through another program, or something? I'm just clicking on the exe in the debug folder.

You need to have .Net framework installed to get it working... and maybe it requires something else I'm not aware of... that's why I only want people who has Visual Studio installed to try it...

And here are the graphics. Not neccisarily the final product - it can always be changed. (I'm not completely happy with the buttons anyways) But it's got everythign you need for now, atleast.

It's five files - the background, and two buttons with two images each, A is supposed to be unpressed and B pressed.

How it's supposed to look:



(I deleted all the old previews to save bandwidth, by the way)

If I put the option 'strict' on I get some

In the game I've just noticed that it wont accept my global ip (not under host game at least)... and I have no idea how make it accept this

Nope, never heard about that line...

But I'm not suprised... for now we have learned things in a strange way... The first 'big' thing we should do was making a newsgroup client, then a web-server client... with very little usefull stuff before that

We've got 4 teachers on our school:
All of them only knows "what's in the book"... ok, not all what's "in the book", only the parts they want to teach us


On my last school my IT teacher didn't even know how to get around Windows (you know... folders and such 'advanced features')


And the worst part is: I'm a very slow learner, so looking at source code of other projects takes ages to figure out (When there's some code I've never seen before)... This is the reason why this project is going so slow: I've got nobody I can ask for help (only those who comes up with some high-advanced code I wont be able to see through anyway)

I went through a couple of school examples, they won't do you much good though, lot of dutch in there.

It haven't been abondoned, just delayed

After some time I finally got my computer fixed again, but then a couple of weeks ago we got lots of homework, so basicly I have done nothing but homework for the last 2-3 weeks
Tomorow we hand in the last two homework, and in two days we get our exams project, which we've got 3 weeks to finish, and when it's done we have to read for exam for a couple of weeks

So I wont be able to code to this game before we're through exams... and if I fail by first try, it'll take even longer


But when I finally get some time to do some coding, I'll try to make it without graphics, to avoid the DirectDraw problem I have. This also makes it faster to get something working. When it works I'll start putting in the graphics...
