Where have all the NESers gone too?
Hey were are you guys? We had some pretty good NES going here at apolyton, and then everyone left? We should look at CFC as an example of how we should do NES and how active it is.
Come on back everyone!!!

been busy. Plus we don't have enough people to support limited moderated NESes. We should go back to the unclosable continuous (non-update) model.

So what do you all say to reopening one or two of the NESes that died too young, running them on an x-years-per-day basis? Participation can only go up from here.

I would like that. So anyone got any ideas for such a NES? Also who would play?

okay then. Since Tassadar has already given his consent, I suggest we try for a revival of his NES as soon as the holidays end. Three likely restart places:
1. Just before Tassadar's last update
2. Just before USNA declared war on Arabia
2. Just before the update where "Shanghai selected for Olympics... President Thomas Leaks Info to Media - Arabia and USNA Bombed Terrorists...Attempted Cuban Invasion Ends in FAILURE!...etc."

Ok. Have fun
But I am no longer going to supply any updates. You can, if you want, control everyone and do the updates but I would find that quite boring

granted, it wasn't directed at me, but still...

Why don't we use the GDNES3? It was really good and quite active until Giovanni stopped updating it (ahem).

Well, I left NESing here in favor of CFC because there were more people and NESes there and because I really didn't like the unmoderated/no update/continuous NESes here.
But, I guess I'd help in a NES revival here...
...even if I do have to work with that Colts fan.

You guys need rules because you lack inspiration and self control. The NES is the paramount of creativity and interaction.
When its actually running, of course.

I think I will start an unmoded NES here in a couple of days. I am not sure what it should be based on, so what are some of your ideas? Also who would join?

To be perfectly honest with you, I went here: www.tb3.org.uk.
I'm game for some of the good old days though. I would advocate GDNES 3, but as I recall I was getting my butt kicked as France near the end.
Modern or post-modern, I should say. Though I don't really mind doing something else.

actually there has been a GDNES 3. Quite sucessful, too.
But I couldn't stand this silence anymore, and have started a new NES, as a sort of intermediate step until this forum gets going again.
