PDA's
I'm in the market for a PDA. Any recommendations?
One requirement: I use Outlook, Excel etc. so the thing better be able to import my more basic spreadsheets/contacts, etc. Does this mean I have to get a Windows CE based machine like a Pocket PC?
Thanks.

Toshiba e755.
or if you need to go less expensive
Toshiba e355.
e755 has a bit more memory and wireless capability. Both machines have the capability you need. You can get the e355 for around $200

Choice 1) Pocket PC HP Ipaq 2215 @$399
SDIO and Compact Flash expansion slot
Built in Blue tooth (If you want 802.11b wireless you look at a compact flash adapter onthe web at about $70. )
400 Mhz processor
Built in Universal remote
Accepts keyboard from older 3000 series Ipaq's
Much better review than Toshiba offerings
2) If you feel more comfortable withthe Palm OS systems. My recommendation would be the Tungsten E at about $199.
No wireless.
SD expansion only
BUT built in Documents to Go. Excel and the like are editable and downloadable. Actually holds formating for Word and Excel better than the Pocket PC versions of those programs.
IMHO the Tungsten E is the best value of the Palm line. Course given the choice I'ld go the Pocket PC route
3) Dell Axim's. Some good offerings by Dell as well.

Just stay away from the Palms, definitely go for a PocketPC variant.
Other than that, I dunno.

Yeah, I've already made that decision given what I've read tonight.

The iPaq reviews I've seen are usually very positive.

My sister wants one of these for christmas.
My sister is still in High School, by the way, so I can't imagine what she'd use it for.

I refuse to deal with PDA's until they become powerful enough to run Photoshop Pro so I can edit my images with a stylus instead of a mouse!

My friends who had bought PDAs sold them. They are worthless to most people.
