For all Lombardi players...
The line for Week 18 (the Wild-Card Round) has been posted at the Pool Message Board on the CBS site. Your picks should go there as well.
DO NOT POST YOUR PICKS HERE. I WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM.
Thank you

Holy Crap does Miami have a tough Schedule next year!?! However, as long as we don't open with Arizona, and we get Seattle in Miami, we should still be in contention in the AFC East, as everyone else's schedule is just as tough!

Denver would play New England should they make it past Indianapolis, not Kansas City.

Well then... but I think KC can beat Baltimore.

Well since I kinda made reference to your poll, it'd probably be a good assumption that I answered for your poll .

k jus wonderin. cuz ur response was a lil odd so I thot I'd be safe.
I didnt mention SF twice. the first was a list to help ppl and the second was my answer. which would logically conclude that I did not list every playoff team for the second question.

ne idea who the new steelers qb is/should be?
kurt warner? draft pick? someone else?
if I was steelers I'd try to get brunell. don't want draft cuz ur team is pretty primed right now.

In playoffs/worst talent -- tough call. Ill say Seattle, with Carolina a close 2nd.
Not in playoffs/best talent -- Minnesota.

Cool. Looks like the Eagles have a shot at going 15-1 next year.

Well, 15-1 is very possible, but I'm going to say 13-3.
2004
Home GB, MIN, BAL, CIN, CAR, DAL, NYG, WAS
Away CHI, DET, CLE, PIT, STL, DAL, NYG, WAS
I'm going to say losses will be DAL(away), BAL, and lets throw a surprise upset in there by those Vikings. Yes, haters, we will beat Rams at their house with a completely healthy defense...

Uh-oh Time
The Bears' schedule means an awfully tough job for the new regime...
In addition to our NFC North matchups, we have
the NFC East (Philadelphia and Washington/home, Dallas and NYGiants/road);
the AFC south (Houston and Indy/home, Jacksonville and Tennessee/road);
and other NFC 3rd-place teams (San Francisco/home, Tampa Bay/road)
I see Philly, Dallas, Indy, Tennessee, SF and TB all as problem games. Plus our usual problems with the Packers and ViQueens.
If they make the playoffs with this schedule, the new coach will be deified in Chicago...

No kidding... it's going to be a tough road for the Bears next year. And we sure didn't get a break with the third place teams... SF and TB... oh joy
And why couldn't we be playing the AFC North instead of the South
Oh... and if anybody is interested... some of us are doing a NFL Confidence Pool at:

Tampa's schedule...
ROAD: Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Rams, Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Redskins
PIRATE SHIP: Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks, 49ers, Chiefs, Broncos, Bears
Beautiful, just beautiful.
-- Washington is the only potential cold-weather game.
-- Intraconference will be trouble since we're drawing a power-running division (Oakland's the only team without one) but the scheduling works in our favor.
-- Those games against the Rams and Seahawks are gonna be fun...

Yes, but you never know what the teams will be like next year.
I remember seeing Oakland, Denver, Washington on our schedule this year, and chalking up 3 likely loses.
And if SF and Tampa are as bad as they were this year..........

Forgot Tampa. Gotta change my vote to agree with Ned.
(Not on Dallas, though. Too much defensive talent to qualify IMHO.)

Most talented team not in: Tampa, duh.
Least talented team in: New England, oddly. A true case of the sum being greater than the individual parts. There's a reason the team got totally shafted in the Pro Bowl balloting - there are no superstar players.

So NOT a duh . I think Miami has more talent, and they have it on BOTH sides of the ball. And they did finish 10-6.

Then how were they shafted?

Bill Callahan was fired by the Oakland Raiders yesterday after two seasons of head-coaching, both ending in miserable defeats in San Diego.
Happy new year.

What a great game so far in Green Bay... Seattle has the ball with 2 minutes left trying to tie it up.
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME PLAY OFF FOOTBALL!

And Seattle has tied it up with 51 seconds left... Can Farve do it again and pull it out. Or will there be overtime... Ya gotta love it.

that broadcast was terrible... it was insanely pro-Green Bay. Cris Collinsworth needs to pull his tongue out of the Green Bay offensive line's collective ass.
I'm indifferent to the outcome of that game... I don't care for Seattle, although it would have been nice to rub it in the faces of Packer fans had they lost.
I swear... if I hear any more about Brett Favre's dead dad, I'm going to ****ing puke.
I muted the game on CBS (Colts Broncos)... I can't stand the Peyton Manning asslicking society. Denver sucks, that's about all I can say. I really thought they'd continue to own Indy, I guess that won't happen.

WHOOOOOOO
And thus, the football gods smote Hasselback and the Seahawks for his pride and cockiness.
Bring on the Eagles. They aren't going to get lucky like they did on Monday night this year.

Well, this game is turning into a white wash. 21-3 Colts halfway through the 2nd quarter.
Who said Manning can't play in the playoffs?

Denver does suck... ****ing Broncos...
Who will Indy play next round? New England? or Kansas City?
so far my predictions are 50-50:
Tennessee over Ravens... correct
Denver over Indy... not looking so good
Green Bay over Seattle... correct
Dallas over Carolina... incorrect
jesus, 3 secs left and Indy almost scored again.

Manning's 1st half passer rating is 188.
31-3 at the half, go Colts.
