neone who gets below 60% in playoff predictions should have just picked all the home teams.
and going into the next round home teams win like 80% of the games w/ teams coming off byeweeks.

38-3 Indy leads... this might be the worst ass-kicking in NFL playoffs history if this keeps up

So much for the "message" Denver sent in Week 16.
Stick a fork in 'em, the Broncos are through. 5 TDs for Manning, only one who can stop him is Dungy

Peyton Manning is following the natural course for a HOF QB. He has put up stats, but never seemed to win the big game, now he is finally winning important games. I don't think their "D" is strong enough for a Super Bowl win this year, but Peyton will be a big time winner in the next few years. Good to see him finally mature. I would love to see him against Favre in a big game, the old master against the new young stud.

I could be wrong, but I think Manning will be another Marino... great HOF stats, but never winning a Super Bowl.

Yeah, he's got the Marino monkey on his back. He needs a Super Bowl ring to get it off him.

Oh come on... He's only played 6 seasons... so he hasn't won a Super Bowl in 5 years, how many QB's have... what's with the "Marino monkey"
Wait until he's been playing for 10 or 12 years...

College football has a different passer rating that does top out in the 180s.. .so maybe that was what you did?

Indy totally suprised me! I can't understand how this game could have totally turned around the one 2 weeks ago. Utterly incredible.

The media will find something else to fault him by before the KC game. He'll keep being likened to Marino by critics and will only stop being criticised when he wins a Super Bowl.
That's why I dislike critics like that. When everyone was saying "Steve Mcnair should be MVP because he's durable". Manning has never missed a game. "But McNair played with a bad ankle and leg!" So? Does Manning need to hammer his ankle before the KC game just so he can be in the same catagory as McNair?
Please

I'm a better critic Frozzy, I don't think Manning should be MVP because I think he's a rimjob...
plus, I like McNair for sole MVP because he did more with less... Manning has better offensive weapons. And I rank Brady higher because Brady had a better record than Peyton, AND NE beat Indy... Peyton had 4 chances in the 4th quarter of that game to be a hero and he choked.
Denver sucked... they lost to the Bears for christsake... KC sux0rz too, they got no D... Indy will crumble against the Titans and/or New England. And if Indy wins, I will **** my pants and cry... just like when Anaheim went to the Stanley Cup (but lost thank God)... and just like when Florida won teh World Series.

By that line of reasoning, you should say Manning should win over Tennessee, because they had the same record, but Indy BEAT Tennesee TWICE!

Denver was ranked 7th in offense and 4th in defense and had a 9-2 record w/ jake plummer, including housing indy like school children w/o clinton portis.
denver does not suck.
I"d also like to note that KC's run defense at home is far superior to their run defense on the road.
AND that manning went loco against the broncos today, he is an MVP but he will not bust that out every week.
also for u shanahan haters, he is actually quite a good coach. his infermity seems to be his scouting. if u look at denver roster there ain't a whole lot there. definitely not the roster u'd expect to be consistently ranked so high.

But Indy nuked Denver with Portis, by a bigger scoreline than in the regular season.
Quite frankly, I think Dungy knew that the Colts were likely to play Denver again in the playoffs, and used the regular season game as a "trial run". Denver couldn't do that, they needed the win. Indianapolis did to a much much lesser extent, and could afford to try out new things.

Indy and Denver are both good teams. Each had a really good game and each had a really bad game in which they dominated and the other in which they were dominated. Unfortunately for Denver, they ended up with the wrong win. Denver played extremely well the first game, and in turn Indy played rather poorly. The opposite was true of this last playoff game.
Matchups and playing well are much more important in determing who actually wins than who is "the better team." That is how the Detroits can beat the St. Louises and the Arizonas can beat the Minnesotas.
