Or a Google search for the word 'Korvatunturi'
It's not wanha, it's traditional.
The efforts of American advertisers are, of course, to be discounted
Besides, there is a time every year when Santa's at the North Pole. I mean, he's got to give gifts to the polar researchers, doesn't he? However, like all gift-givings, it's a quick visit, and he then returns to the home base at Finnish Lapland. And because every other sentence's ended with my floppy-**** smiley, let's have one more for a good measure:

S. presidency

I can understand why you'd want Santa to be Finnish; I mean your country has nothing else to live for. But you are just defaming the man. He is obviously at the North Pole. He has taste, after all.

you're all obviously mistaken. His name is Ded Moroz, he lives in Russia, and he brings presents in the new calendar year, not the FAKE birthday of some dead jewish dude.

Santa Claus may be in Finland, but I don't think anyone would consider the fact that he's chained to a radiator there means he "lives" there.

Santa lives in Norway.
Finland used to fly in kids from England (Concorde) to their "Disney" Santa Park in Finland. The Finns must have hired an American salesperson...
I have always heard that Santa was from Norway. You can walk from Norway (Svalbard) to the Northpole.

Actually Santa runs INTERPOL; he has several command centers across the globe. This explains why many people think he's at different locations.
The actual workshops are located in backward 3rd-world nations with no labor laws and abysmal elven rights records.

Santa lives in here. It's a fact. Now either believe it or die without honour.
Our airport at lappland can't even take more charter flights from all over the world. They pay thousands of euros/dollars just to be there for few stinky hours. It's here allright, and the money says so. Money doesn't lie.
Yes, Santa Park is in trouble due to poor financing. They realized 'hey this is kind of seasonal thing!' too late.
Anyway, Santa is here. DO you want to know what North Pole is? Just type in google 'Peter +North +Pole' and you'll see what twisted series that is. We have the reindeers, we have the Santa and that's it case closed.

It's so sad that Finns need to prop up their nation on a foundation of lies just to feel important. Maybe if we pretend to believe their silly claim, they won't be so evil!
[patronizing mode]There, there, Finland; it's okay, we believe you...[/patronizing mode]

Theben: It's not that we want to feel important. It's just that... well, it's Finnish nature. We're so accustomed to all Finns being honest that when a fellow Finn once has told us that Santa lives in Finland, we can never believe differently anymore...

And it's not just that. Santa is from here.. it couldn't come out of some dirty foreigners hands and minds, because they are dirty foreigners. Santa is pure, Santa is from here.

No, we rule you. You are under our mind control. When I hit this button, you'll do what I want. Lucky for you I don't use this button too often. You remember last time you missed the toilet a little when you were urinating? That was me . So, keep on living, but remember that it can be taken away with a single push of button..
