What's your favourite German word?
I go with 8 options because 24 would have people stop reading al and just choose one randomly.
By spelling or pronunciation, what's your favourite?

What's that word for taking pleasure in the misery of others?

of the choices, "Eisenfaust". always loved that.
but i really love the word "Panzer", for it's simplicity and awesome sound. also, i find the word "umwelt" (own world) quite an interesting one personally.
i love the german ability to combine words into one super word.

It's remarkable the amount of venom you can put into saying the word, considering it's meaning.
I'm fairly sure you could lob a wad at your target on the second syllable, with practice.

My favourites from German lessons back at school are "Rauchgasentschwefelungsanstalt", "Vierschnittslähmung" and "Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz" (conveniently abbreviated as BAföG).
From those above, I picked "Reichsdeputationshauptschluss" - the longer a German word, the better!

As any reader of 1970's boy's comics about WW2 will recognise.
"Aaarghh!"
Not to be confused with the Japanese "Aieeee!"
