Let's see... Green Bay has always won home play off games... oh, except for last year And Seattle sucks on the road... oh, they did beat SF last week...
I'd still bet on Green Bay.

The thing is Seattle has won 4 of the last 6 games against Green Bay. The most recent game not this year is 1999 so I don't know if it matters that much.

Predicted weather in Green Bay on Sunday...
High - 27
Low - 7
Light snow in the forecast...
I'll still bet on Green Bay

*sighs*
The Seattle Seahawks are the only team on the NFC side of the playoffs that I could tolerate either in the Super Bowl or as champions. Being a Bucs fan sucks right now: I HATE EVERYONE ELSE.
Philadelphia? Lock 'em into portable toilets and set 'em on fire!
St. Louis? Disembowel 'em in the woods with a wooden cooking spoon!
Carolina? Take tactical nuclear weapons and stick 'em up their asses!
Dallas? Lock 'em in a small room with a wolverine that's high on angel dust!
Green Bay? Shoot 'em from a catapult - right into a brick wall!
(Yes, I HAVE been listening to too much Carlin lately, thank you.)

Green Bay will win. If there is any justice in this world, Farve will win his 2nd Superbowl ring, dedicating it to his dad.
Packers .

That's not true. Green Bay routed Seattle 35-13 in week 5 (at Lambeau).
I think the Seahawks will struggle, but with all to play for, it will be a tough match. The weather will not make things easy either.
At the end of the day, I think the Packers will advance winning 27-16.

The Broncos beat the Colts a couple weeks ago in Indianapolis.
Both teams have offenses that can match each other, but Denver seems to have a more solid offense.
My prediction for that game: Denver advances winning 34-20.

Denver did the smart thing last week and rested their starters in a meaningless game (for them anyways), so they should do even better than they did against the Colts a couple of weeks ago. Baltimore didn't do the smart thing last week (i.e. rest their starters), and are probably going to pay the price this week against another Division Rival.

Yea, I was a bit surprised about the Ravens going full strength in that game, but I can understand the will to build up some winning momentum going into the playoffs.
Time will tell whether that was a good decision or not.
If the Ravens did lose that game, they would have gone to the playoffs with a 9-7 record, while the Dolphins would have had a 10-6 record without a playoff spot.
The Ravens would also have been one spot higher on the draft order, but since they don't have a first-round pick next season, it may not be all that important.

I think the #1 reason to not play starters is to not get them injured. and no1 on the ravens got injured. so I think it helped their chances against tennessee to have played a great primer game w/ a playoff atmosphere.

And Miami beat Baltimore in the Regular season, thus winning the Head 2 Head tiebreaker!?!
There is no reason this scenario should ever happen again, and it should be corrected by the league during the offseason! Regardless, it should have been a moot point, as Miami should never have lost to Houston the first week of the season!
Anyways, this should be a great game, as Wright could be a huge wild card himself on Wild Card Weekend!

Why? Baltimore won its division and Miami didn't. I see no reason to change anything.

Heah, let this 'Phins fan rant for a while, won't you?
During the early to mid 90's all my bosses were Buffalo fans, and I had to take their crap all those years. Now that the Bills suck, why I get a boss that is a Patriots fan! I just can't win......

Alright, the Ravens won their division and thus (with the current rules) earned a playoff berth. Fair enough.
However, isn't a playoff series about having the best teams going head-to-head?
Overall performance-wise, Baltimore is not better than Miami.
Furthermore, Baltimore didn't just clinch a playoff berth. It also clinched homefield advantage for wildcard weekend, facing Tennessee that has a better record (12-4).
If there is already a seeding system used to determine which team has homefield advantage during the playoffs, why not use it to determine who has homefield advantage during wildcard weekend?
I find this strange and confusing.

It's about having the division winners and two wild cards going head-to-head .

Because Tennessee didn't win their division. Division champs get respect.
If it were up to me, I'd just have the division winners go... based on division records (not overall records).

one of the advantages of allowing division winners is to allow teams from all over the country to get in.
even if ur team doesn't get in, u can always hope the other team in ur division u hate loses badly!
so the whole idea is to keep on average more interest.

They don't get a lot of respect from me if the division was pretty crappy, performance-wise, but that's a personal opinion.

Ah, I see.
The thing I don't get to see is live football though. At least not until the Super Bowl, the only piece of live football broadcasted in the Netherlands :grrr:
