yea, that was done with rocket landings, and nuclear reactors. This one has even better electronics, an inferior power supply(the cells will get covered with dust,pitted eventually,the reactor let them keep the probes up for about 5 years), and has broadband. They got video of the way down and the bouncing appearently.

I have often wondered why this simple thing keeps getting in the way. Ever hear of a windshield wiper?  A little thing like this would extend the life of a solar cell ENORMOUSLY.
